Hi guys,
I posted in the UG007 thread but was adviced to post here aswell. I recently bought a UG007B, I can't get wifi working with any of the custom roms I have tried so far, any advice on which one I should install?

I read that someone had the neomode 1.9a working so I tried that, works fine but no wi-fi, I liked the interface of 2.0 but no wi-fi. I confirmed the wi-fi working with the original rom before i flashed it.

I just checked and the wifi it is called AP6210, if I haven't misread anything that should be the new version right? That's strange, anyone have any ideas why it doesn't work? I hit enable wi-fi and it says enabling wi-fi or something like that but it never goes online so it never displays the available networks.

I understand that there are others having the same problems.

Any helping advice for this poor android tv stick noob?

*edit: I read the post in the 1.9a thread about another rom that was working for another member with the same problem. But I like Neomodes versions.

I would try the firmware i posted m8, at least to see if it works, untill neomode releases another one

Well, an update to where i am now.

I have two sticks, both so called MK809III, Both RK3188 no T at the end, but both have different wifi modules, which will only work as details below.

Module - AP6210 / T0D4005 / 1319 (Wifi works with any neomode version 1.9a or 2.0

Module - AP6210 / T0D5007 / 1320 (Wifi only works with link that "saschah" posted in the 1.9a forum) will not work with any of the neomode firmware

There is somthing very strange going on with drivers to the wifi, i would like to use neomodes 2.0 version, but will have to wait untill a new version and hope the wifi is sorted on these.

Great news is there a possibility that also the rtl8188 drivers (MK802iv old wifi) can be preloaded.
Or else that i (and all the other guys with old wifi's) can use the rom in combination with the Sam kernel (old wifi is preloaded in this kernel), that works great on 2.0 with my 802iv and rtl8188 wifi

Is the random black screen occurrence on the mk809III related to the fact that it only works with roms made for the RK3188T? Cause i have one and since i tried custom roms i always have flickering and random black screens. can't find original rom for it since no one talks about the V3 board of the HT-T010 MK809III =/

is there portrait mode for UG007b?

I have a newer UG007b and am wondering if it's possible to build a kernel that allows portrait mode for the screen ( 1080p ). Also, is there a good starting point on how to start building a kernel for one of these devices?

I installed neomode v2.0 and extracted the kernel from the known good image, and still no wifi, totally confused, lol
