I turned back to Riley 1.6.1 the signal strength of wifi seems to be MUCH better. How I tested:
watching youtube HD Videos with both roms on the same place in my house.
With 1.8 every HD video is displayed only in sd and even stucks.
With 1.6.1 every HD video plays flewless and loading the video very fast in advance.

I would like to come back to KitKat. Is there any reason, why my signal is so much worse?

The one rom did not which not tried yet is 1.9 official from 16042014. Custom rom is still outstanding. ;o(
I see that rom creators left it aside due to Kitkat.
However I do guess some improvements are there. Anyone tried this stock rom?

but it was just the reason why i switched back to the stock kernel !!!

which one do you have installed ?
this would be a greatest turn for me!!!

edit: i had this one installed, kernel_GPS_1.3_cpu_stock_gpu600_ddr648
perhaps the new versions make the wonder, trying right

            I'm currently using this one:

but all the kernel 1.4 I've prepared have 3G and deep sleep perfectly working!

You can also install these kernels over kitkat stock rom.

yep it's working without problem... sorry for my opposition

unfortunately the lower voltage kernels are not working for me, I use the 1325mv 648ddr, but seems not to be a big headache
              thanx again

try using higher frequency for the ram, you can increase performance a lot!

well.... in the night i tried gaming with interchanging kernels... result: the stable version once working, even that, is now not starting: the tablet remains (more than 15 min.) in the borealis aurora screen of riley and just won't start...
i tried flashing over and over but with the same results.... what now?

You can try to flash the stock rom, with the original tools from Pipo. If that one is booting, you can try riley again.

After flashing kernels over and over my tablet became unstable and ended up in a boot loop. I eventually got it booted up but was never successfully able to use the over clocked ROMs except for ram. Even then I would get random reboots and sod's. I ended up backing up my data, wiping the tablet and doing a fresh Reilly KK ROM install. After that I found I was able to use the overclocked maakie ROMs withe complete stability. I freshly reinstalled my apps and only restored the app data. Haven't had to reboot yet in over a week.

                          Using giouncino's overclocked kernel:

                          kernel_GPS_1.4_cpu1704h_1325mV_V1_gpu600_ddr768

Been rock solid for me (thus far).

I use the same - for me most stable so far.

use the same kernel as you before. everything is very good. fast and speed. but I start to meet sleep dead if I leave the pad sleep for 8 hours. Back to makkie one. no problem. not really sure how to solve that.
