Hello d33. Tested your kernel http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...l=1#post229940 with stock firmware. The machine does not start. Connected to TV by HDMI and AV, no signal. What can do?

Hi, can someone tell me if this kernel has hdmi cec support?

          CYX_809III_RK3188 V2_1 20140208

          Hi d33,
your kernel v4.2.5 with ESP8089 and MT6622 chip support works fine on CX919II clone with PCB version CYX_809III_RK3188 V2_1 20140208.

WiFi works. Bluetooth can pair with devices. Can I do some more testing to help you out?

Both SD and HD are functioning. But one small issue? in the HD version the CPU clock doesn't go above 1,4Ghz. SD version does go up to 1,6Ghz. Can I solve that with the Overclock-o-matic script in post #2 or do you need to correct something in HD kernel source?

Thanks in advance, and thank you very much for your work on the kernel!

It is the same source compiled in series so should be identical wrt cpu

Running HD I would not go past 1 GHz if you are not thermally protected. Do you have heatsink (maybe a fan also) on your Rockchip?

I run it at 1.4GHz with only a Heatsink and that heatsink gets pretty hot while watching a movie and running my Webcam, debating wether or not lower it to 1.2GHz now... (I use it as a monitoring device as well)...

I've mounted a heatsink as big as the CPU itself with a heigth of 4 cm. It gets warm, sometimes hot. I haven't tried it yet on 1080p while watching a movie of an hour. We'll see

You can probably run 1.4GHz safely (I recently lowered mine to 1.2GHz without any performance issues) because after watching a movie I could barely hold the stick by the heatsink... I have a laser temp gun but not sure what's the TJ Max of these, haven't done any research yet..

                      How to install it ?

                      Hi,
I already have this Android 4.4 : 4.4_T010_mtk5931_public_20140704.img on my mk809III with MTK WiFi
This work like a charm but this is a 720p kernel
How can I install your kernel in this android ? or do you have an other android 4.4 match with this kernel ?
                      Thanks

720p kernels are the way to go. Having the home screen in 1080 is cool but at what price? 720p kernel still gives 1080p video. so, you want faster interface or better looking wallpaper?

                                1080p @ 24 refresh rate support?

                                d33,

My device CS968 (WiFi-BT: MT5931SA-MT6622) still causes screen blank outs intermittently. I was thinking of testing out with the 1080p @24 refresh rate. However, I do not see that option in your kernel that I am using.

                                Kernel: kernel_KK_v4.2.5_TVBOX_MT5931_HD
                                Kernel zip: kernel_KK_v4.2.5_MT5931.zip

Is there a way I can add this as a supported refresh rate in the configuration somewhere or you will have to build a new kernel?

                                Thanks!
