I'm fairly new to these Android TV sticks mind giving me a walkthrough on how to do it? also is it worth doing this or should i stick to the stock 4.2 give me pros and cons

Is it worth doing?! DEFINITELY!!!!
Though the gain depends on the SoC you have, RK3188T or non-T.
If you have a T-SoC, and there's a very very very big chance you do, using this rom in combination with D33's kernel will make you feel like it's another,better device.
It goes from kinda crappy to pretty good IMHO.
A non-T SoC also improves when using the combo but not as much as it's faster to begin with.
But do flash it with this ROM and D33's kernel, you won't regret it.

There are plenty of threads/posts on the forum on how to flash, use the search function.

Finally got around to installing this after abandoning my significant effort get Linux Picuntu running (failed due to flashing screen problem on MK802IV).

Damn this rom is nice with the d33 V4.1 kernel (HD)!

Summary:
Flashed MK802IV (AP6210) with NeoMode 3.1 found on page one of this thread.
Replaced default Neomode kernel with the HD kernel from d33 TV Stick Pack V4.1 (http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...8well-most!%29)

My only requests so far for 3.2:
1. Save the screen scale setting. It's annoying to have to rescale every reboot.
2. Fix the menu bar Power button for MK802IV. (right now I use a separate shutdown app)
3. Include a default keyboard and disable Google Voice by default. (not a big deal)
4. Allow stick hostname to be changed

I've just got my MK802IV AP6210 (dunno if -T or not, it's from ****, used)

I've managed to flash neomode 1.3 just to try and it were going well for a couple days.

Yesterday I tried too flash 3.1 with the simple guide from zero_x12 chosing the right kernel and 4g parameter but I've only got 4 penguins and some info about formatting /data.. formatting /cache then black screen.
To be complete I've tried some times, clearing IDB, waiting 10 minutes after the black screen, choosing another parameter and so on.

Could somebody please print out a noob guide on how to recover the situation and to put in this 3.1?

Could be any of a number of issues causing the problem. I suggest flashing the official MK802iv "recovery" firmware, http://www.rikomagic.com/en/download/download_22_1.html , then attempting 3.1 again with a clearing of IDB. Whether it is purely superstition or not, I always flash factory fw in between installation of other ROMs to guarantee a fresh slate.

Try to flash with the original parameter File.
I think the is something not o.k.
Also possible that the Kernel not work with your Stick.

Thanks all, i've managed to work it out.

Another question, i'm using an optical touch panel (Dell E2014T - http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/p...n&sku=858-BBBE)
the device finds it as Vendor 0408 Model 3025, and it takes some interaction, so the module is loaded i think, but it behaves incorrectly. Could you please in next kernel insert hid-quanta and hid-multitouch modules?

any way to unroot device?

I know it sounds a bit ridiculous y would someone unroot the rom,, but the thing is that i bought this stick to run on the tv in the kitchen and there i dont have a receiver for my cable provider but the company provides an app that i can use to get all the channels.
the problem that it doesn work on rooted devices and unrecognised devices.
i was wondering if there is a simple way to unroot the rom
have tried all the unroot apps on the google play, nothing really works




installed ver 3.1. works fine until it loads, but then it keeps rebooting several times. left it for some time, gets stable unitl i try to open an app (any app) or settings or whatever, then it just reboots again... tried the d33 kernels, the 4.1 version hd, sd, hd alt, sd alt. jst getting black screen - no hdmi output.

any idea how i can stabilize the rom and get it unrooted??



worked out the no hdmi output. It has something to do with d33 kernels. They dont work for me.
now have to get the rom to stop rebooting by itself.

rebooting always

ny idea why the device is rebooting whenever i click on something new, like installing an app from google playstore, checking previously installed apps, looking for apps. opening new ( already installed in rom) apps

getting frustrated with this device.

Yes, you install xposed Framework and install rootcloak over the xposed app

Hello and Thanks in advance for the help i am new to the android stick and i flashed the newest neomode rom in hopes of having a XMBC stick with good 1080 and wifi with no navigation bar when running the app. I installed the newest ver 3.1 first first thread and after reading figure i must have the older wifi chip. Can i remedy these problems by flashing another kernal? any help is greatly appreciated! thanks
