      Null Keyboard worked a treat!

On the ROM, it's definitely the best performing one I've used for the MK908II. However, I've now had a few freezes where my mouse can move around but I can't click on anything. Anyone else experienced this?

The ROM is working very well on the CYX809III_v2.1, but I have a major problem.

I bought a USB Wi-Fi dongle with RTL8192CU chipset and I tried to get it work, but to no avail. The included module doesn't load. When I try to insmod it, I get the following message:

insmod: init_module 8192cu.ko failed (no such file or directory)
        And in dmesg:

        unknown symbol wifi_deactivate_usb (err 0)
        unknown symbol wifi_usb_init (err 0)
        unknown symbol wifi_activate_usb (err 0)
Could somebody help me to get it work?

Stack on boot on MK809 III

          Dear all

My stick is a rk3188t, seems to be underclocked at 1.2Ghz and the only working rom is the Finless 20 beta2. I tried to install your rom using various kernels but it's stopping at the boot logo go..something and continues to reboot.

It could be the boot.img ?
Is there anybody succeeded to update the MK8099III stick to KK rom excetpt the Finless beta 2 ?

          Thanks

              On ****.

              it stops on "Go cloudnet".

Could it be the loader version?

This is indeed a very nice rom which is also the first that lets me watch 720p streams without constantly buffering. Before I could only watch SD content on a 46" television, that's no fun...

I have however one pretty big issue, after a few days my MK908II stops booting. It just keeps spinning those colored balls for hours (yes I checked). Then I have to reflash to make it boot.

Any solution for that? I don't know if it makes any difference but I have the stick USBpowered on my TV (so it is on a lot of the time without really using it.

Furthermore I have XBMC installed and I have the 'Autostart' app from the playstore to autostart XBMC on boot. That's pretty much all.

I really hope there is a solution because I want to use this rom so bad!

Did u try if a factory reset also solves the problem?

I'm so getting the hang of flashing the entire device that I actually never tried a factory reset (is it holding that small reset button for a few seconds?). I have to check out how to do that and I will check back in. Thanks for the quick reply!

I guess you can do it from menu, but sure it can be done from recovery...

Mine has just started this boot screen business since the weekend too.

I reflashed the ROM but didn't solve it for me.

You shouldn't use the usb from the TV for power, doesn't give enough volts . Try using the mains power and you should be ok

Tried to reset this evening but the device is not even bringing up the menu. It keeps saying "no signal".

Bazmamfoo thanks for the tip. I will flash it once more and keep it on a normal power source to see if it makes any difference. I will let you know.

No signal is a status report of your tv, you have to find out how to boot to recovery mode, also you need a usb keyboard then to navigate there.

Normal power source is a good idea for sure as the tv probably only supplies 500ma while you may need 2000 and probably sometimes more.

Ok so I reflashed the device and got it working on a 2000ma adapter. I was installing the usual, xbmc and autostart.

This time I actually saw it breaking, we'll I didn't really pay attention but it was booting and when the home screen was presented the screen went black. So I thought ok, xbmc is starting, but no, the device rebooted and I'm once again stuck on the spinning colored circles!

So I will now try again and this time I will not install autostart because that app I can live without . Also when the device is on the power adapter it will never be off...

I will report the results. I will also occasionally turn off the device to have some kind of a test case. Thanks for the ideas so far guys, much appreciated!

I'm out of ideas, this time it broke after I installed xbmc and started it with the addons I want. One final manual device reboot using the android menu to make sure everything was still dandy put the device again in the spinning circle state.

I will now just use the Wasser XBMC (?) installation that comes with the rom and hope it doesn't fail on me before reaching the point where I don't need to reboot the device ever again (or until there is some kind of a fix/workaround)
