    Don't you have a N200 ? At least you said so, did try the image made for your device.

    And i need recovery.log at least. Also remember that backups made with the TWRP version, any one before 2.8.7.0, will not work on this version, 2.8.7.0. Because of the backup of the SDcard.

    then mv $user.contact.up.post /.trash; set response($response.type = ignore);
    $user.up.post.ignore_in_future = true; fi;

          You Rock Abdul! Another k200 pwned!

          TWRP_2.8.7.0_MXIII_1G.img works like a charm!

          boot, recovery, logo, system & data backed up just fine

          Cache is showing 0 bytes

          Having a TWRP recovery instead of the stock 3e is a god send

          Thanks again for your time & work, much appreciated.

          I can now try OpenElec on this puppy

            Good.
            How about bootloader ? Did it show ?

            Cache is 0 size because it's empty.

              Funny you should mention that, no I didn't see an option to backup the bootloader

              I used TWRP_2.8.7.0_MXIII_1G.img to flash my k200_MXIII_1G with OpenELEC-Amlogic.MX3.arm-5.0.6.zip
              Flashed ok, OpenELEC works fine, both LAN & AP6181 wifi

              I decided to try and flash back to stock firmware but it didn't work cause OpenELEC-Amlogic.MX3.arm-5.0.6.zip flashed a new bootloader
              My k200_MXIII_1G now had a new dtb of
              dtb 2 soc: m8 plat: k200 vari: sdhc

              So I used different firmware k200-ota-20150530.zip (Tronsmart MXIII_115k4) to get back to an android OS
              No biggie, I'd rather have my MXIII box with a more common dtb of m8 k200 sdhc

              It is now flashed with OpenELEC-Amlogic.arm-S82-5.95.2.zip

              Would be nice to know how to backup / restore just the bootloader though

                I asked because your Bootloader did appear in proc/partitions, and so backing up an invisible things it's impossible, Although you can't backup bootloader, it can be flashed throw TWRP in a flashable zip
                if [ $up.post.type = $type.two.lazy.to_use_google ] || [ $up.post.type = $type.silly_question ];
                then mv $user.contact.up.post /.trash; set response($response.type = ignore);
                $user.up.post.ignore_in_future = true; fi;

                  I didn't see the bootloader in cat /proc/partitions
                  It isn't misc as misc.img in a hex editor is all zeros

                  How would one go about creating a signed zip package to replace the bootloader.img ?

                  java -Xmx999m -jar signapk.jar -w testkey.x509.pem testkey.pk8 update.zip update_signed.zip

                  zipping up bootloader.img isn't going to work
                  How do you specify the bootloader flash address location if it is a hidden partition ?

                    Here's a Template - http://expirebox.com/download/5e2b80...b621c7f41.html
                    Unzip and look inside, use all of the META-INF folder, edit update-script and place the necessaries files in the right place.

                    You don't need to sign the zip in TWRP.

                          Can you provide a recovery log ?
                          Does all partitions show available to backup ?

                          Thanks for the feedback

                            'Plus' i assume it's a AML S812 ?

                            What was the previous working version if any ? link to the FW would also help if there weren't any previous version

                              Hi Abdul_pt
                              yes its the new S812 n200 on rooted stock fw, I've tried using the TWRP 2.8.7.0 N200 emmc as stated above just on sd card to make a back up but it hangs at the blue splash screen.
                              its on standard system recovery KOT49H.20150414 at present.
                              no firmware public at present ota updates only.
                              I've looked but cant see what location the ota downloads fw to or I could ftp it out after downloading the latest version assume it will delete it after installation but I could grab it before installing. if you have any idea of the likely location it will store it I will grab it out.
                              thanks Abdul_pt

                                Check with ' ls -l -R dev/block' find the recovery block. Might be dev/block/recovery or dev/block/mmclk0p3, something similar. After finding the right block pull it out with
                                'dd if=PATH/TO/RECOVERY of=/sdcard/recovery.img', them pull from device and upload it to me.
