Tried it with Option "never" and the wifi shuts down in rd about 5 minutes...
If I turn on the display, wifi will be activated in a second...

So? That's the whole ideea.
Always _ will be always On
Only when connected_ will stay On only when charger is plugged in.
Never_always will be disconnected, with/without charger .
I really don't understand what's wrong here.

Deep Sleep Battery Saver? For what, to turn off what is already Off? Deep Sleep is working pretty good with this tablet.

You don't need flash player if you use Boat Browser, no matters and very fast

Settings->Wi-fi->Advanced->Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep

This option does not appear to work. BetterBatteryStats reports Deep Sleep 13% but Wifi On 99%. Wifi monitor on my laptop reports that the Cube is connected all the time.

To clarify:

Settings->Wifi->Advanced->Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep->Only when plugged in

Does NOT work. WIFI stays on all the time. Also checked the NEVER value and Wifi stayed on all the time.

@Popeye - will have a go with Deep Sleep Battery Saver.

@Edius - sorry for my original lack of clarity. I have monitored the wifi connection of my Cube for about 3 hours and Wifi stays connected all the time. The tablet does enter deep sleep, but the wifi connection must be an additional battery drain. Battery drain is definitely reduced if I turn wifi right off manually.

I am going to monitor it again today just to confirm what happens.

If I'm watching my wifi connected devices with a wifi tool, the cube notifies with:
"shenzhen huaxuchang telecom technology"
Can anybody tell me, please, why the cube doesn't show his real name???!!

Don't know how to change the manufacturer name, but this App will at least allow you to change the device name from Android-abcdefghijklm to something meaningful.

I know that on my china-clone phone there was a file I edited and that changed the device name too - can't remember what the file was though, sorry - or whether the manufacturer name was in there... [So that's really useful then, NOT].

In my experience it's not unusual for devices to show up with strange manufacturer names. My Ainol tablet turns up with AMPAK Technology, Inc. My ZOPO clone phone turns up as AcSIP Technology Corp.

OK, I'm an arse.

Monitoring wifi again today. @Edius is right; when set to "Only when plugged in" wifi turns off after about 20 minutes. I know I watched it for a couple of hours the other night and I would swear it didn't turn off then. Tech-Gremlins at play - that's my excuse, anyway.

{edit}Rebooted and tested again. Wifi turns off after 17.5 minutes...{/edit}

I know that's my cube, but I was wondering that the Tablet doesn't show "cube" or "U65GT" in the wifi network.
At Bluetooth it shows U65GT.

I've included instructions within the download for flashing both the full ROM (required if you are changing from Cube's earlier firmware)

I'm not sure what that means. If I am flashing from an earlier version of yours, also based on Cube 1.8, is that the same firmware or different firmware?

If it is different, why doesn't Cube give it a new version number?

If it is the same, why have they released it?
