Thanks for your response, but I have worked it out. Just extracted the .zip file to an sd card and booted while holding the reset button for 3 seconds.
The install happened automatically.
I believe that previously I had extracted the upgrade .zip instead.

292e?
Hi there
Still enjoying your great release which is still working perfectly.
I am just wondering if there's any hope for my USB DVB dongle...
The driver for my USB DVB stick (PCTV Triplestick 292e) is apparently part of the 3.17 Kernel but not 3.10. Does this mean that my DVB stick is useless for the time being or is there anything I can do about it? (I have no clue about Linux)
Thanks for your help and all your hard work

like you, i purchased the PCTV 292e dongle, and was planning on running it in my MX2 directly, which i'd like to say, has pretty much come alive once i got rid of the Android firmware (Thank You Codesnake!)
Anyway, i found a really nice way which works perfectly for me.
It seems that DVBLink is a perfect match with this tuner; i just downloaded the latest BDA drivers from the PCTV website and went and installed DVBlink components on a (any) Windows backend. Plugged the tuner in; let it scan and installed the DVBLink client in XBMC. Works really great and all recordings are on my laptop to watch when i am away from home ;-) You could also run the backend on a NAS for example.
Only one ' downside' as it's not free, but you can activate a 20 day trial.
