hi this is my 1st post iv heard so many good reports about this romand i was previously using mediamans rom for my m8, but when i try to install this rom it goes into the part where the android figure is there and the status bar and the status bar gets about a tenth of the way accross and then it just freezes any help would be much appreciated thanks

it could be related to tcp/ip fix in v2, you might want to try the update

truthfully i'm not an expert at home networking but i've had my share of issues with samba. i also think plex server is a good way to share videos over home network

Heya gang.

I'm new to the EM8 having just picked up the unit this week.

I've gotten the Megatron ROM installed without issue but am having some performance issues with most of my movies.. here's the skinny:

try putting just recovery.img on your sdcard and then do toothpick method

I flashed this firmware and although its nice and works well I want to flash another rom,

Toothpick method, or entering recovery mode via toothpick or the "reboot app" won't let me enter it.

Any help? or am i stuck with this rom?

Hi all, I installed Megatron ROM on m8 box.
works great and installation was easy following instructions.
the only issue I have is that blue light comes on during start then goes off, which is not a big deal.
I need to temp hide root in order to run D3GO app, used rootcloack, hide my root apps, all showing that root is hidden, but when run D3GO app message shows: to watch program you need to temporary or permanentl unroot, VMX:andriod_47

Hi,

Im trying to install your rom on my m8 square box
Formatted sd and copied 3 files across,
Boot to recovery and the install starts, but seems to freeze after a few seconds.
Tried to go manually into recovery and install from ext, select file and then it hangs.
Also tried re downloading rom and trying again.



Can anyone help pls?

hi morrig,

chrome browser is one of the apps included with megatron rom. you should see it there after flashing (remember to wait 10-15 minutes)

must admit i'm guilty of removing wallpaper related apps. not sure if you can reinstall those manually

never heard any problems with usb deviced before. not sure what to say about that one

if you like mediaman, super... sounds like a good one!

TriedTried today, installed on M8N with wired internet ok, ran into a few problems with some playstore apps not suitable for instance Chrome browser not even in playstore but installed via Aptoid and after installing a wallpaper changer and went to click on it says not installed.Having a few hours of use wireless usb mouse froze rebooted and it happened again within minutes,so restored Mediaman rom ,been running for a month with no problems.

I had to flash this rom first which updated firmware.
Megatron rom flash perfectly after.

hey guys is the new version of the rom out? What i want to know, does the new rom overcome the 30mb capp on the wireless? ive been stuck on that even with finless bob rom and your first rom. if your rom fixes that issue then that will define which rom i will use out of both, both are really amazing roms tho, thanks alot

i went back to bob finless rom to do some tests for wifi guys, took some nots and reflashed megatron rom, it flashed but not im stuck on the megatron logo at the start, ive given it 20 odd mins and it hasnt progressed, any ideas?

Hey guys just installed the latest update of the rom and with in the first 35/40 mins here my wifi connection turned itself off 4 times. I have to go into it manually and turn it on again, ive done various speed tests and ive come up shorter than i had on the previous rom, apart from that the rom ran great, very smooth, Im going back to the first release as its the one that worked best for me, thanks alot.

This rom I'M guessing is based on this firmware update i guess..it is meant for M8N ..coz im using it on my M8N..maybe thats why people having issues with ethernet and wifi??maybe..havent got M8 to try it on?

update: installed successfully on M8N. So far seems smooth, not a lot of junk installed. haven't played too much with it but, looks good to me so far. Comes up as KOT49H 20150122 test-keys in settings if that matters<br/>

So its working well on your M8 square box..pcb no. M9&M8_V0.92..check everything first...wifi 2.4ghz..& 5ghz..if u have dual band router..ethernet..etc..
