Are you using the same HDMI cable as when it used to work? If yes, I'm afraid that it may have stopped working after 20150115 kernel update and I can't help you with it now. I don't have enough knowledge to debug it, especially with no device that doesn't work for me. There are people working on improving CEC implementation for Amlogic (WeTek team and a few others, e.g. Scott K Logan @ Github). I will include their improvements in future releases. I'm sorry for the issue you are experiencing now.

I bought this usb2.0 network dongle (like in the post #28):

When I plug it in for the first time it work, if I reboot the network dongle don't want to power on.
And if I go (after reboot) in OPENELEC->CONNECTIONS , WIRED CONNECTION is DISABLE, and when I click on it, it stay disabled.

    Do you know why ?

    Thanks
Not without logs, dmesg before and after reboot would surely shed some light on it.

Can someone confirm a working CEC with Samsung TVs pls?
If your TV has AnyNet - yes, it works. I am using it with UE32F5300 on a daily basis and successfully tested it with B- and D- series TVs.

      Hi kszaq,

Thanks for continuing to update this. It is great.

I was wondering if you could please add another resolution. I have a Panasonic TH42PX70A, and the resolution is 1024 x 768 . Could you please add this is a selectable resolution? Everything seems to appear stretched.

      Thanking you

        Hi kszaq!

Thank you for the hard working to make openelec on my MXQ..
        This is great project!
I have hd audio capable receiver, so I can give you information about it.
When dolby hd and dts hd passtrough enabled:
No sound, and video playback slow down.
When passtrough disabled, then dts-hd audio played back just dts core, and dolby hd no sound...

I used Dolby Atmos Demonstration disc 2014

        and

TXH demo disc Dolby TrueHD DTS HD movie clips cinema test 2013

I am planning to add support for more resolutions by copying the code from Hardkernel's Odroid-C1 kernel. Just need some free time to work on it, I'll post a test version as soon as it's done.

The non-working HD-Audio is an issue with all Amlogic devices.

I know that @codesnake and WeTek team are on it. When they come up with a solution, I'll promptly include it in my builds. I am also trying to find a fix for this but I have neither skills nor equipment.

            Odroid-C1

Odroid-C1 do u have some link to the fw for that device?I hope u will make dual boot openelec with linux or or maybe linux and android, that will be grate

@People with an AV-receiver: could you test something for me? Please enable HD-audio passthrough and enter the following commands over SSH (you may get errors after entering them, that's okay):
              Code:
              echo 2 > /sys/class/audiodsp/digital_raw
              echo spdif_mute > /sys/devices/platform/spdif-dit.0/spdif_mute
              echo audio_on > /sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/config
Is HD Audio working after entering them?

OpenELEC dual booting with Ubuntu would be amazing but sadly I don't see it coming to the 808B+

Received my second 808B+ yesterday and Geekbuying gave me a Duff UK power Plug, I did open it but thought its going to be chipped as oppose to a fuze gone. Anyone in the UK that can point me to a seller on ****/Amazon Market where I can pick up a plug with the USB connection where its not one of those Chinese fakes that is likely to give me an electric shock. Thanks Guys

Cheers, can you provide a link? They seem a bit pricey. What do you normally pay?

                        I tried, but no luck.
The third row gave me error message:
                        write error: bad address.
And when playback material with hd audio has the same result what i already say.
                        Slowmotion video without sound output.
Without enable passthrough dts hd plays just dts core, and dolby hd has no sound.
I think mxq is fast enough too convert dolby hd and dts-hd to multichannel pcm.
I have wetek player too, and i hear from forum this devices processing audio over ffmpeg. There isnt any possibility to switch software decoding as at raspberry pi2?

I noticed with original android system and xbmc after unpacking the mxq the dolby hd video played with sound...

I noticed a little CEC problem too.
I want to use MXQ box with cec capable recriver and TV.
Everything worked fine, but after TV switch off (what switched off my receiver too) and I want again turning on the system, my TV and receiver turning on, but MXQ screen isnt coming back, with bundled rc must turning on manually, isnt started automatically.
Maybe later coming a setting panel to cec who everything can I set up?
I know where is the config file, but it is write protected , and I dont have enough skill in Linux to modify it

I like this box... Very fast, with good price thanks again for make openelec to it

                          Edit:
Sometimes the device lost cec control.
The ssh top command freeze the device.
The Codec info panel only show change percentage of cpu using just for two core, the other two is static..
The system info panel I think show more than real cpu usage.. At idling shows about 40%, what is very high I think.

                            But there's a way:
                            • download 5.0.3-20150214 and 5.0.5-20150309 tar from releases page
                            • untar SYSTEM and SYSTEM.md5 from 5.0.3 release into Updates folder
                            • untar KERNEL and KERNEL.md5 from 5.0.5 release into Updates folder
                            • reboot your box

After doing that you will have Kodi 14.1 with the latest kernel-side improvements.
                            Thanks a lot! Works great!

                              Thank you kszaq! According to the Odriod-C1 FAQ ( http://www.hardkernel.com/main/produ...8433&tab_idx=3 ) 1024 x 768 is a supported resolution

Both our device and WeTek are capable of outputting multichannel PCM audio over HDMI, all it needs is some work on drivers and how they work with Kodi. Both of them are fast enough to decode multichannel formats, although WeTek has better single-core performance. I will continue trying to solve the HD-Audio issue but without an AV receiver it's shooting in dark.

At the moment there is no way to configure CEC except that you can make a script to turn off automatic turn off for the box. Actually I am able to wake my device via CEC menu in TV (MK808B+ doesn't use an IR remote).

You shouldn't worry about the CPU usage shown in system info. Here are the reasons for what you are observing (a general idea): the CPU is configured to plug out the unused cores to save energy. When the core is plugged out, its statistics are not updated any more and thus you see the load is not changing when in fact the core is offline. If you want to have all cores online all the time, you can type (or add to autostart script):
                                Code:
                                echo ondemand > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
That way you will get load reading for every core all the time but use some more power.

You also shouldn't worry about the load shown in System Info tab. I think the reason might be that it is calculated in relation to current CPU operating frequency which changes depending on the load. If you want to see absolute load, you may type
                                Code:
                                echo performance > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
That way the device would use even more power and get hotter but you'll get accurate CPU load indication.
