On 1.6 ROM video (xvid) streaming over wifi home network worked flawlessly, and out of the box with ES file manager.

On 1.7 didnt work, I dont know why. I tried to play some MP3s over net and worked, but Xvid video didnt. Filezilla server on my main win7 PC logged that conection was there, but kept disconnecting, because this is my main task on mk808 I went back to 1.6, where works again out of the box.

B0li, I am also experiencing wireless issues, but so far have only tested basic web surfing and google play app install. The "connectivity bars" are great, steady connection with many bars - but essentially useless web surfing using default browser or Chrome. I have more testing to do and may try to go back to 1.6 (1.6 worked VERY well, but is locked at 1.0 GHz so trying other options) to see if it is my Asus RTn56u router which is causing problems, but...

Have you tried basic web surfing after a reboot? If so does it work well? Thanks.

Im using old noname obscure wifi router, but its works for me, so far...

I didn noticed better web browsing on 1.7, but 1.6 its also smooth and fast for me.

I dont know, maybe Im doing something wrong.

I did some 720p streaming over wifi home network flawlessly with V1.7. Using original MK808 and clean v1.7 install. Also moment ago tried to copy one video ~1GB - no problem very stable transfer so...

Hello Bob;
First of all thank you for developing all the ROMs so that user can me fully utilize mk808. I am however having some problems.
1. First I installed version 1.5, no problems with installation. The wifi does not connect at all. When I press on in settings, few seconds later it is automatically turned off. In the firmware there was no problem with wifi.
2. Same issue after installing 1.6 version.
3. The manufactures says my device is bluetooth capable so I installed 1.7 ROM for MK808B (it does not say on aliexpress if it is mk808B, it just says mk808 blue tooth enabled). After installation this one is also not connected to wifi.

I will be thankful if you can shed somelight on the issue.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I have been upgrading several device firmware(s) at the same time (router and MK808) and cannot tell which is the "real problem". But after reading stuff like this http://forums.smallnetbuilder.com/sh...&postcount=332

I want to say that by now, no customs kernels for the mk808b and other devices, the only one who has custom kernel is mk808. If we get the full sources, we can do kernels better than stock

Would like to say I am loving this rom especially with the custom hide feature it just seems to work very well. WIFI also working well and 720p streaming working well with amo navi x with default players.

My next task was to test this rom with the xbmc custom build for rk3066 but looks like the we need the patched libstagefright, Finless can you confirm if this can be done?

Thanks for your generous offer, Bob. I'm reluctant to give up my MK808 right now, when it's my only Android tv player, & the only thing wrong with it is the failure to boot into Recovery..

I'll PM you when my MK808Bs arrive, as then I'll be able to spare the extra device.

Crazy! Today I rebooted my MK808 into CWM Recovery with no problems. Same device that wasn't working yesterday. I changed the power (USB to Mini-USB) cable, and the HDMI cable while setting up my MK808Bs. I made no changes to the software.

I got my MK808Bs, and flashed Finless 1.7 on them. Wi-fi isn't working until I do some unsoldering. Otherwise, they're looking good. I found Omegamoon's 1080p HDMI kernel doesn't support Wi-fi with MK808Bs. Omegamoon and Leolas both confirm this.

What apps are you using? MXplayer & ES file manager or something else?
