All process in 5 sec. Twrp writes that the installation was ok, but after rebooting - only stock! What are your thoughts on this matter?

I've found that the update-binary will fail silently if trying to update a machine that has partition sizes that don't match the contained image sizes...which is why I recommend it only for incremental updates. At this point, I'd suggest flashing the burn package with USB Burning Tool.

Can this ROM work on H96 Pro PLUS boxes?

I tried TWRP & UPDATE methods.... guilt Robot with RED X. I was hoping this was the latest version of ROM I could put on my H96 Pro (Plus).

Did you try the AML burn package with USB Burning Tool? (The OTA update is really designed for incremental updates, and will only run on a recent build for q201_9377 reference board.)

Hmm... USB Burning tool? - I don't have a cable to patch my PC to my box... Box uses USB 2.0 port TYPE 2(?)... same as PC. Tried using a USB mem stick but it wasn't recognized.

Yes, you need a male-to-male Type A USB cord for the USB Burning Tool. Another option is an SD card with BootcardMaker. Check links in the original post for more info.

SD Card? Sorry if I wasn't clear.. that was the second method I tried.

I'm trying Supercelerons' SCV3-ATV ROM again - Still see long reboot times with that ROM..... but at least I got 4K Youtube working again and have fixed Darkeness issue with build.prop fix.

Hate the Launcher, though... can't add anything to it..but family loves "live channels" feature.

I will try to re-burn NEXUS ROM on my box this weekend..sooner if I can - maybe I can scavenge two old USB cables to make a BURN cable! Thanks Magendanz for replying!

It sounded like you installed the OTA update (.zip file) from the SD card with TWRP. Did you trying creating an SD bootcard using the burn package (.img file) and BootcardMaker app?

(And by all means go with Superceleron's ROM if that's what you prefer. It's not like any of us get paid for this, and so we're not competing for customers. We share resources, and so it really comes down to personal philosophy of the ROM developer. I prefer my custom ROMs "clean", with the fewest possible 3rd-party apps, hacks, or gratuitous customizations.)

All is ok. Your ROM is very nice. I flash it with USB burn tool only through USB 2.0. Respect. It would be nice to change the color of the selected items (yellow or blue for example in HDMI-CEC item) in the settings menu, because i almost do not see them on my tv. Can have a solution?
And i have another question - Can you tell me how to install Android TV Remote Control Service on stock rom Beelink GT1? I found com.google.android.tv.remote.service_2.0.0.3777408 .apk but I can't install it I express great gratitude for your efforts. Thank you in advance.

Magendanz, It is possible to configure RC button on a long press for close all apps in use (in the background)?

Yes, I did BOTH methods: I First performed BootCardmaker method with yours and SuperCeleron's ROMs'. I've been successful with SuperCeleron's ROM... and I ALSO tried the TWRP with ZIP File method with yours. IT did not work for me yesterday.

I am trying again today. First SD card (BootCard) method and if that fails, I'm trying USB stick with ZIP file (TWRP?) method afterwards.

I'm curious about trying out both ROMS'... I really appreciate all the work you ROM DEVELOPERS are doing - I'm not playing favorites, I just want to sample every one's work!

Ok, I decided to try TWRP+ZIP method, First.

Here Is how I tried installing this TVSTOCK ROM to my H96 Pro Plus 3G+32G (DDR3) device:

(Tell me where I went wrong, if you may)

1- powered down device and then turn it on while holding IN Pin (with a toothpick)

2- Loaded into recovery, which I loaded onto an SD Card and inserted into device)

                              4- I WIPED all the CACHE's...

5 Went to INSTALL: Selected OTG-USB as a source, and Selected ZIP (
                              update_GT1_110M0_TVStock-20170319.zip)...and INSTALLED.

                              6- Fail Error: 7

I attached a photo of my TV screen so you can see all the interaction and error. Can you see where I may have gone wrong? I'm wondering if it's not my technique!

                              .................................................. .................................................. .................

As I mentioned before, the OTA update (.zip file) is for INCREMENTAL UPDATES. If you have a Beelink GT1 or Alfawise S92, you might be able to use it for initial flash, but I still don't recommend it. If you don't have either of those models, you won't satisfy the assertions to even do the install. The Error 7 is just the assertion failure because you've got the wrong device ("q201_9377") or build ("MHC19J").

To even try to run this on any device other than a Beelink GT1 or Alfawise S92, you need to flash the burn package (.img file). If you don't have a male-to-male Type A USB cable, then USB Burning Tool isn't an option and you'll need to follow the instructions for BootcardMaker to install with an SD card. This is not the same as flashing a .zip file in recovery.
