The keyboard layout is working correct now. I have found the app External Keyboard Helper on playstore. Don't know if this problem was Rom related but on my PC the keyboard layout works without any additional settings. Maybe some problems with the system language. Thanks for your help!

This ROM is for the "PRO", not the Pro +. These ROMs do NOT support the Voice control.

Having some issues using HBO now on the Nexus AndroidTV. Keeps giving me error messages when I try to play movies/TV series (No error messages during documentaries and comedies)

Uploaded firmware (20180310):

My TV box is m8s pro 2GB ddr4 16GB. (36$ from banggood from U.S. Warehouse).

Anyone messed around with HBO now?
Everything else works fine! (Except for a dead remote that came with the box ofc., but that's fine)

How did you got for 36$ ? everywhere i can see this box sells for not less than 55$, really interested in getting one, please help

Voice control works fine with Android TV app installed in my mobile.

Install Android TV remote app from the Play Store in your phone/tablet. Touch microphone icon on it when you want to use voice control.
I mostly use it on Netflix and YouTube.

Just tested it on my "PRO" and you are absolutely correct, the voice works. I can ask for the time, weather, etc. and she answers...... Now, the question that I have, why can't my voice remote work.......

Hello first time post, I just got my m8s pro L (LB) version through the post.
I had been browsing this forum for custom ROMs and root, twrp etc, and after setting my box up decided to try install supersu so I can use adaway and a few other root apps.
So after downloading SuperSU and updating the binaries I got an error that binaries are occupied so after a little read I uninstalled it and installed an older SuperSU.
After it installed binaries and I rebooted I was stuck in the loading circles.
I managed to bring it back from my issues and have it stock again.

Now after alot of reading trying to get it back running again I know that non of the custom ROMs will work on my device as I have the newer LB version.

So my question is am I able to have TWRP and SuperSu or Magisk on my device ?

Is there anyone here who could point me in the right direction ?

I don't mind the ROM my box came with but would prefer if I can have TWRP and SuperSU installed.

Keep up the good work guys because if it wasn't for this forum me and a huge number of people would be lost.

You - link me - most probably have a BAD remote.
Mine only worked for a few hours and now is completely DEAD.
To make things worse, so far, the store is not honoring their policies or warranty...
Everyone have read doomsday reports about China's "warranty" but until you have a problem you always think that it is inflated narrations. It seems they're not...

Try to enforce the warranty on that remote to see what happens!

The remote is fine, it was the firmware that was not allowing the use of Voice from that remote. I have since updated the firmware and it now works like a charm.

You are correct about warranty from these China vendors, it is pretty much non-existent. If the product is low in cost, I just consider it cost of doing business with China. If the product is high priced, I plan on purchasing it with some kind of warranty, like paying with PayPal, but that is not guaranteed either.
