[ROM] AlfaWise H96 PRO+ 3/16Gb - 3/32Gb - 3/64Gb - SCV4A-ATV 7.1.2 (DDR3/DDR4 - ANDROIDTV VERSION)

I have just bought the Amlogic S912 H96 Pro+ 3gb/32gb which came loaded with Android 7.1.1 (pics show as DDR4 with green PCB)
It is constantly crashing and from what I have bee reading this is not a new problem.

I would like to upgrade it to v7.1.2 which is known to work much better.
Superceleron, I have tried to load numerous ROMs for this model, including SCV1 launched in this thread.
Everytime I load it with USB burn tool, I uncheck "erase Bootloader" which lets me complete the burn process without errors.

Although, the box does not boot or does nothing at all when I plug it back on the HDMI and power.

To make it work again I have to reflash the stock ROM with shorting pins 29 and 30 of the chip.

What can I do to make your ROM install and work on the box?
What am I doing wrong?

Your help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure you need to erase the bootloader if you're coming from anything other than android 7 as it uses a different bootloader.
Please note it's been a very long time since I updated mine but I know it's the case with my android phones, any time I change OS level I need to flash the relevant bootloader.

Hey guys ! I bought my h96 pro plus 3/32 ddr3 from aliexpress. it has got 7.1.1 out of the box. i found that my box was prerooted but i couldnt find my root options.
i've done very little research and found that we have to update superuser binaries so i downloaded supersu app from playstore and updated my binaries. binaries were installed correctly but now my android box is not booting. i may have soft bricked it. i tried factory reset through default recovery. still not able to boot my box.

i'm newbie to android box rooting and custom rom stuff. can anybody just help me out.

i'm thinking to dirty flash the 7.1.1 firmware again but a bit scared if i would hard brick it again.

can anybody help me out with procedure for flashing. it would really help me out. please

Essaye d'intaller la version v3.1.0.35 de my canal (va sur https://apkpure.com/mycanal-la-tv-by....android.canal) et en bas choisis la version 3.1.0.35
cela devrait marcher

Installed the latest update, almost everything works perfectly. One problem noted, when you delete the existing google account you cannot goto settings and add a new account.
you need to follow the Play app, and when it finds no account it asks you and then its possible to create a new account.

Question, how do i test if the Dolby Vision works? I got a LG OLED tv with Dolby Vision logo when Netflix runs and LG sample files, but never seen it shown when i use this h96 box. Anyone got any ideas? If its enabled would it not work, or is it something related to something else being enabled.

I'm in the same 'boat' as you are. I recently purchased the Alfawise H96 Pro+ from Gearbest and got the box with 'only' 2 USB ports (without the 'hidden' extra 2 USB ports), with GREEN pcb and 8 memory chips (instead of 4 chips). It came flashed with 'Wisdom' fimware from Sep. 18.

I'm wondering whether anyone got the same unit and managed to install superceleron firmware on it.

ciechon, let me know if you managed to find a better/optimized firmware that works on our box.

I have bought the H96 Pro+ 3gb/32gb/Amlogic S912/Android 7.1.1 (No Alfawise logo) from bangood. PCB is blue, with S32-V6 (LPDDR3) 2017-09-05. Can i install SCV1 BLUE (LPDDR3) PCB IMG then update via recovery to SCV4A OTA? I reed forum http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...-hardware-dead, and there is nothing said that with blue img it succeeded.

superceleron Is it possible to do a .zip that flash the bootloader?I say it because my model h96 pro + takes a different bootloader and it has some bugs like that not power or reboot. Thank.

J ais essayer et brick de la box le flash réussi puis au démarrage écran noir HDMI non reconnu juste la led bleu qui s allume rien d autre et très difficile de retrouver une rom qui fonctionne dessus
