I've tried it too, BT was OK, only wifi was very weak. Are you sure, that you have the v2.0 T-R42 ? Now I've decided to use Ethernet and lewy's rooted firmware, and I'm happy with it.

Everything seems to work except Bluetooth...

Installed the ROM - overall everything seems to be working great except Bluetooth, when I click "Enable" it just goes back to "Disabled", Wifi works fine, Ethernet - Don't know (router is too far away).

My device is a T-R42, with B351 V2.0 Board


I installed Lewy's T-R42 2.0 ROM (http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...e-by-lewy20041) and everything is working properly, but Lewy is missing XBMC Passthorugh patches so was really hoping to get your ROM working...

Yea, Wifi worked fine - would get ~10Mbps with Speedtest.net, though I didn't test too much since I really need Bluetooth working, so didn't stick much with the ROM.

I switched to Lewy's "T-R42 2.0 Board" and replaced libmedia.so and used a patched XBMC version (from this post - http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=172223) to get AC3/DTS Passthrough working.

So far I'm quite pleased

I did notice few "weird" things:

1. If you do a Reboot the screen rotates "upside down", power-off & power-on fixes that
2. When the device is put into Standby mode, it powers back up on it's own after 10-15 minutes

Both are not critical issues, just an observation

Just a thought, you sound pretty intuitive about software, would you be able to tweak it since he won't replay back? Or tell me what to do for better wireless transmission. Cause the reason I bought the T-R42 was to replace my old wd live tv box, but I really can not count on it if I can't stream wirelssly.

Buy a new power adapter. It has to be the same volt and atleast 2A(ampere).
So 5V 2A or 3A. If you can find a universal adapter buy that

i also suspect it is a power adapter problem, because the light stays on when the tv box is connected also to usb (otg)
