    2. no, 4.4.2 sdk is for tablet and doesn't have
audio manager. It's still needed to add
I fixed my SD card, just had to reformat it after going back to 4.2.2,

How can we add the audio manager, what do you need for that ? Can I help ?

Thanks for your reply. It is not USB debugging that i'm after, that is already enabled on custom roms. As i mentioned above in the other custom roms for Minix Neo X7 it has a USB section within the settings menu that isn't present on this particular rom.

as is metioned in last post the codes for audio manager doesn't exist in kikat-4.4.2. We have to code this missing part in 4.4.2 sdk. Sure you can help me. Fisrt you have to download the 4.4.2 sdk and try to add the codes for the missing part and send me the patch.

I will try this later. (limited on time right now)

Wasser please could you upload here for me :

          sensors.rk30board.so

from the Kitkat rom? I don't have it currently installed so I can not extract it. It comes from SDK yes? not from Minix?

          Thank you.

i uploaded sensors.rk30board.so from my kikat firmware. It's built from 4.4.2 sdk. You can download it from

Any idea what the purpose of sensors.goldfish.so is?

I could not find sensors.rk30board.so implemented in my current rom.

But it has the same as sensors.default.so -> i gues that's the name if you want it in use?

UPDATE: the sensors.rk30board.so from your 4.4.2 sdk is compatible with 4.2.2 roms

Has the over clocked kernel gone? I just downloaded it but its only maxing at 1600cpu.

                    Rom Weekend

I have gone through 4 roms this weekend. Starting with the Minix 009 (Bad stuttering Video in XBMC)
Tried the other KitKat but i really like how snappy this one is. Using the Newest nightly build of Minix and Minixhub.
                    Hoping for the best.
My best rom to date was Quickshot (Both versions) but had random crashes with it.

I like the Shutoff features in Quickshot and Minix versions though. I can choose to reboot in Both or shutdown. Minix XBMC has that nice feature built into it also.

                      IR remote

update on the IR remote. i found that the rom now responds to the remote of K-R42 and clones (most probably because the rom source is for those). I guess this is a good thing because minix x7 remote functionality is crappier than the other ones. Since i dont have a kr42, the hard part is to set it up in harmony remote.

new test kernel with SPDIF support

                            Hi all,

i have tried to to build new kernel with spdif support. Could someone please test if spdif works?

                            thanks

                              IR remote not supported

this kernel supports stock ir remote and it should be stable as the the kernel-minix-x7-110114-2.zip.

could someone reproduce this issue too?
I have tried various kernals including the two mentioned here and none seem to support the basic Minix IR remote
I can get to the welcome/language screen, but that is it
A shame as the reports sound to promising

No support for the other option I have whcih is the RK Remote phone app

Thanks for all the effort everyone is putting in
I will be monitoring progress and trying again later

So back to Finless 1.8 for now

                                @Wasser

The parameters for the mali.ko module seem very outdated in 'init.rk30board.rc'. To test values which would better reflect the GPU frequencies available in the current kernel config I created a boot.img with the following entry:

                                Code:
                                insmod /system/lib/modules/mali.ko mali_dvfs=133,200,266,300,400,600,798 mali_init_clock=400
I haven't experienced any ill effects with the updated values (nor have I seen any immediately obvious benefits either). I'm not even sure what these parameters actually do, since the kernel values appear to always override them:

                                Code:
                                <4>[ 13.628742] Mali: Mali400 inside of rk3188!
                                <4>[ 13.628782] Mali: mali freq table num : 2
                                <4>[ 13.628811] Mali: mali freq table :Mali: 384,Mali: 594,Mali:
<4>[ 13.628885] Mali: init mali clock success
<4>[ 13.657771] Mali: Mali device driver loaded
