For me video is good, I'm not using the stock player much but on Google play movies streaming or pinned HD, or YouTube or Ted Talk videos no problems.

supplement - everything except video works 100%, in any video can sometimes 10 minutes, sometimes 30 minutes of play before he freezes.
How can this be prevented?

It happens to me too, it freezes after few minutes of video player.
I run on Claro kernel and I don't know if it's the same with the stock one, but maybe it's independent from the kernel.
Will see another player

I'm currently on RR 1.7 but I want to update my M6 pro to RR 1.8.
Can I use titanium backup? Or it's better to delete everything?

It should work since they're both nearly the same KitKat. I backed up my data partition by a different method and also copied the contents of my internal_sd to my computer and after restoring these got all my apps and data back.

After flashing 1.8, I did a "restore missing apps with data" and everything works fine.

Hey there,

i just installed the new ROM to my M6pro 16GB WiFi and performancewise it works like a charm. Great work! Big THX! Unfortunately WiFi does not work (saying "Turning Wi-Fi on..." forever). I followed the instructions in the Manual supported with the file and used the 6GB parameter file. After installation booting up took quite a long time. After first boot I restarted the tablet. Second boot was much faster. But event though I did a reboot, the message "Turning on Wi-Fi..." was still active. Only turning on airplane mode, and rebooting afterwards could make it disappear. But when i tried to turn on wifi again, the same happened. Tried resetting, installed the ROM for a second time. Nothing worked. Any ideas what I could have done wrong or whats wrong with my installation?
A second weird thing happends, when I try to turn on Bluetooth. It turns off again by itself after maybe two seconds. But since i dont really need BT this is ok to me. Just mentioned it, just in case the two problems may have a common root.

I just want you to know that the kernel VERY_LOW_V2 seems to work very stable on my M6pro with Kitkat 1.8! I'm getting Antutu 20k+ .. It is my new device, so I will need to check about the battery usage.

Great Job!

I have just flashed my girlfriend's M6Pro 3G with this and I am more than pleased. She has been almost abandoned it, because of the laggy default ROM. Now she likes it very very much again. It works very very smooth, almost like an iPad Just one thing.. She was using it almost only for HayDay (farm game) which is the only thing that's not working with this ROM. It starts, but the screen is not updating. It has to be something with the resolution or the "floating" top and bottom button/status bars. Because the only time when you get some screen activity is when you swipe your finger to show/hide them. Is there a way to fix that? Thanks in advance! P.S. after some more testing - for sure the reason is stupid game code which does not survive resolution change due to top/bottom bars hide. If there's a way to make them permanent it would work. Is there such option?

Decided to give this one a try and so far I am very pleased.

Everything is working and working better than when I was using the "M6 Pro RileyROM 1.6.1".

In conjunction with Gio's "kernel_kitkat_1.8_cpu1704h_gpu600h STOCK_ddr720_VERY_LOW_V2" everything is sweet.

I actually have better battery life and a faster machine. Even the GPS seems to be better .'

a question about a missing button

I flashed the rom using the riley1.8 rom and now i'm missing the option to minimize the lower bar and use the whole screen is this option still available somehow? It was a button looking like an arrow pointing down

It is no more available on kitkat so far...
