although Riley was OK with it ...... i think that the post with Kasty rom shouldn't be posted here. A private message or an email would be more than enough. ........

Custom firmware features:
- root with latest SuperSU version 1.93 (free version)
- removed most Chinese and unnecessary applications
- Google Play Store fixes so more application are visible/compatible
- updated busybox v1.21.0.git (2012-11-29)
- Unix like init.d boot scripts support, more details on init.d scripts here
- changed permissions on external sdcard to allow write access
- increased space for applications (/data partition) to 4 GB
- disabled OTA updates (may cause problems, see Notes below)
- kernel modules (cifs, tun, lan, serial, xpad) compiled by Oma & Crew RKTablets, thank guys!
- optional ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery easy install package
- added Google Experience Launcher (GEL) in addition to PiPO's stock launcher
- optional package to fix broken apps (Contacts/People and Calendar sync)
- added multi-user support thanks to didierm contribution
Notes:
- any update received thru OTA may interfere with our custom firmware, we recommend to refuse any update pushed OTA.
Download: kasty-pipo-m6_pro-442-20140213-rooted4_mu.zip
2 interesting things:
1. Launcher- google experience launcher...
Old known flash procedure...
Flash with Rockchip Batch Tool version 1.7, use Restore button.

3G is quite extraordinary. Sometimes it is ok, works fine and speeds are (what I think with this device), nice. 3-6mbits.
However, device is often either "kicked out" of 3G to Edge/other mobile network or can't even find any network. Both these cases are seen on location, where same operator with mobile phone has almost full strenght 3G. Is the antenna on Pipo so awful, or is it just KitKat? I am using RR 1.8+ Claro+ Modified libril (or was it stock?). Mostly problems come indoors, outside can be nice 3G, indoors just E.
Would I win anything with going back to JB, which was a lot worse to me? This combo has been stable for a month already, and quite fast, so I just love it...
same behaviour?
furthermore the stock libril could help you to maintain 3G connected (even if you lose deep sleep) and not to be "kicked out" as you said. Did you overwrite the RileyROM mod lib with original pipo one as I told you some weeks ago?if you appreciate my efforts this is the link for any donation:

Stock kernel I didn't try yet, as my compilation is really good now. Need to give it a go. Now I have no freezes, minor lagging and no crashes, with stable 20400-20800 antutu (wifi on/off). So I'm really pleased in all other means.
I'll throw stock kernel in tomorrow. Thanks again!

It can decrease sensitivity on RF RX channels or even block some RX channels.
This should be taken account, when defining used frequencies of CPU and DDR , when internal 3G is active.
I don't remember the exact frequencies of 3G RX bands 900MHz and 2100 MHz. Channels and bands are depending on area and operator.

WCDMA/HSPA: 2100/900 Mhz, GSM/GPRS/EDGE:850/900/1800/1900
I set ram at 720 Mhz,
I think it's not a matter of frequency but a problem of CPU voltages that could affect 3G module power voltage in some way. What do you think about it?

Coupling to 3G module can be through power supplying or signal or directly to antenna.
For example CPU frequency 1704 MHz cause more noise to 2100 MHz band than 1600 MHz CPU frequency.
Most critical is , if DDR or CPU frequency harmonic(1/2x,2x,3x,..) matches to RX frequency band.
