I believe I've already added the line in build.prop to activate multi-user....so you should be good there.

There is an edit you have to make in the framework.jar file to enable the multi-user setting. I've recently learned how to do this, so all of my newer KK ROM's come with that enabled. Back when I did this ROM, I was not providing that tweak. I've known about that tweak for a long time, but I couldn't get it to work right, until I learned how to do it in Linux.

As an alternative to editing framework.jar, you can install Xposed Framework on your tablet and in the module repository look for the module that enables multi-user. It works just as well, but without the hassle of editing the framework.jar. Just beware that there are some other Xposed Framework modules that aren't compatible with KK. If your tablet starts acting funny after installation, that will be the culprit. But there are a whole bunch of neat things you can do with Xposed Framework modules.

As time permits, I might post an edited framework.jar file for everyone.
Thanks Riley i will try xposed framework solution.
One more thing that i want to confirm is that my one nand chip PiPo M9 max tablet running R.R.2.6.2. After some explanations and advices from dnkn it seems that only the models that ReadFlashInfo report 4 Flash CS pages is incompatible with this rom. My tablet , althouth one nand chip model report 2 Flash CS pages.

To me, it's always been unclear as to which tablets work with this ROM and which ones don't. Dnkn is the expert on this, and I've trusted his determination that it depends on the number of NAND chips. However, Pipo has been telling me it has to do with variations of PCB versions, and the number of NAND chips isn't a factor.

Anyway, I'm glad you were able to get this ROM working on your tablet!!!!!!

Since I've archived my working files for this ROM, it may be a while before I can get to the framework.jar edit. I have way too many new devices to address at the moment...but I will try to remember to do it.

I'm really happy how fast is working muy tabletas with rileyRom and ART runtime.

Question. Every time I boot the tablet, android starts updating and optimizing apps. Is there anyway to stop this?

          Comment

That's because you are running ART. It is happening on all RK3188 ROMs.

The only solution at the moment is to turn off ART.

Strange that only happens when I have updated system apps, then integrated them into system.

btw loaded real racing 3 on this tablet and moto G, the phone is MUCH faster :-( shame as tablet bigger screen. I thought the two were similar in performance, and being pipo is 800p lower than the moto g hoped it would be stable fps

Post #1 has been updated to v2.6.3 with the download manager fix. Please use that link, instead of the link added in a previous post. That was a temporary link to my Google Drive. I've added this to the Freaktab FTP server for better service.

Hi rrileypm, this is the best rom for M9 Max so far, no lagging issue when wake up. Anyw, i had to feedback that the "volume" was way too soft, is there any build.prop that i can edit in order to enhance the volume.

                              Thanks for the great rom.

I've been searching for a setting for volume for a while. The only fix I've found is to install an app called Viper. Its on Play Store. You have to load the drivers in the app...but it works pretty well.
