stane1983 will you be releasing the new version today or are you still waiting for the armhf Mali libraries from Amlogic?

Idk about other people but once I followed the time fix posted above the old build has been good enough... I know I'm only speaking for myself but I'm ok waiting out for armhf... and at the pace the new xbmc has been moving along kodi is already in alpha 2... might be best waiting for that...

ssh is a protocol to communicate with the device e.g. via LAN/WiFi at a terminal (shell (a little bit like dos))

at pc you can use something like putty as terminal (also available as portable so you don't need to install it)

If the connection is established you see the shell and you can use the commands showing some post before...

There's been a delay getting update from Amlogic so im sure that's the holdup. Minix is still waiting on update that was promised August 15th.

BTW: (I have to ask, because I can't test it at my x8)
armhf is one aspect, but what's about hw-acceleration (amcodec) at XBMC? Is it possible or is it "only" sw-decoding because, if I'm not wrong, you can't use the android-libs at linux?

Who said anything about android libs? Amlogic released their buildroot (I'm not using their) with armhf linux framebuffer libs included which I'm going to use.
