I had no wish to seem pessimistic. I felt I was being realistic. I too had my expectations: with fixes for their few shortcomings, either build would knock the ball out of the park. But like others I've waited and waited and seen only signs of reluctance.

As I said, I hope I'm wrong. And I stand ready to make my donation if it moves things forward.

@stane1983, please keep your head up and avoid this nonsense... your development helps the small guys like me and a few others not looking to profit off your hard work selling multiple boxes to other for extra money. If no other development... I'm still super satisfied with what beta 1 has done to my once useless M8 boxes.... thanks for all you've done for this community

As another simple user thank you stane for your r1 Linux version which might not be what resellers want to profit by, but it saved M8 for me personally. Thanks.

Just bear in mind money doesn't alway talk, I donated $100 which was a lot to me at the time to corey when he was developing for the atv520 back in January and to this day he never released a linux Xbmc for this box, saying he had issues with the wifi chip drivers. Next thing he was developing for a company who do the jynxbox and since then has all but abandoned development for other boxes and now armada m8 he's developing for.

letting everyone know this for the simple reason that just cause you donate don't get your hopes up that this will push stane to develop another version quicker.

maybe he will maybe he won't. I also know that when developers put out for donations they probably don't get many people donating.
