I Hope I'm Wrong But We May Be Waiting Awhile
You can pile on your expectations, but have you stopped to ask: what does Stane get from this? And let's not talk about "glory"...
JustMe put his finger on it, with his comment about "rakia".
It's quite apparent by now that our wonderful genius is not motivated. And can you blame him? Over at the Armada Project - at $130 a box - the business model obviously cuts a slice of profits for the developer. Did ENY consider -for a minute - offering Stane a developer retainer and a commission on sales for rescuing their sinking boxes from certain oblivion? No. Their greed-driven, customer-hostile policy leaves everything up to the freelance community and its meager donors, sending the likes of cronicorey into the arms of sharp merchants who do not scruple to tie a Linux build up in a semi-proprietary OTA scheme.
Stane, I myself do not use your wonderful proofs-of-concept. They are both amazing, but the Android doesn't come back from power down and the Linux has slow LAN (Ethernet and wifi). I would gladly send you $50 as a contribution to final builds when they're released - but I imagine you are hoping for a much better return on your efforts.
I hope you find one.
