Hi just a quick question will i need to root my M8 square box before i can install this FW or will it be automatically done once i install this linux build onto my M8 ? Thanks.

that at means it's not an official em8 tomato box, it has a different wifi chip etc inside which has no linux build as yet.

I just checked my box and I do have ap6330 module. So something else is causing this problem.

I'm not in a rush. I was just trying to figure out how to get this build to work with the wifi. I've had this problem before with other builds and it was the installation that caused it. Just want to make sure I'm not doing something wrong on my end.

I figured out what the problem was. In the other AMLinux builds that I have used when you click on Network Manager, all the wifi access points automatically pop up themselves. With your build I actually had to click on Add to bring them up.

I'm going back and fourth and it was something as simple as that.

I can't imagine what this new build will be like if armfl is giving a %30 performance... as the old build is still faster then the android build IMO.

FLAC playback

Playing (only) flac files from directory.
When current file stops playing and changed to next over playlist - playback begins with clicks and distorted sound. Needs to use stop button from left menu after that happens.
But there is no problem when i use remote control to forced change of a playing file.

No problem for mp3

If you need another week or two weeks for the Android and/or Linux for M8 please take your time. Optimizing and debugging and compiling and testing takes a lot of time. Freezes in Android specially in XBMC is a big job in itself that needs lots of time. Not to mention incorporating and testing the new lib files and many other issues.

Like me most members here are not sellers but actual customers using a single M8. I prefer if you take more time to fix and enhance the performance on both systems to the highest degree before you move on to other boxes. Also because of so many negative feedbacks on M8, if you do the best you can, given enough time, the Chinese makers will take note that only you could save such a problematic box. Please take your time. It's a worthy challenge.
