Why bother with dual boot one if you are gonna wipe the Android? The single boot Windows one is the Suntek and has just one BIOS but the Artway one with dual boot has poorer BIOS options if I follow other posters explanations. The matter is confused as both look the same externally but the dual boot ones are Artways. Chrome is not light on memory. 2Gb is your limit. Many tablet owners say IE is better for them on 2Gb. Can't comment on your other MANY questions - don't own one right now. Sold the Suntek one and Artway one.. getting the 64Gb model

Sorry about so many questions, I'm quite doubtful ...

Nothing shocking; its pretty well known at this point, that foresee eMMC module is slow.
Could use a bit better random write performance.
Thanks for doing that.
The 4k is very slow indeed.

I have just ordered a new Wintel W8 Dual Boot (Win8.1Bing and Android). I understand that the version of Win 8.1Bing will likely not be activated. Just seeking clarity on what I should do to get Win8.1 running properly.
I am thinking I should download a full version of Win 8.1 Pro (x86), get it onto a USB drive through Rufus (or similar), then try to get the BiOS to boot from that USB for installation. And then use the drivers listed a few posts up for the wifi and bluetooth drivers (though I need neither of them working for my planned application).
That process will still allow dual boot Android running, right?
Have I got the rough process right?
Or is there a step(s) I am missing in all of this?

There a possibility of boosting 4k write performance by using this
Its an old patch, that uses ram buffer to cache small writes. Worked very well back in the day with Eee PCs (which had terribly slow flash)

Very interesting.
I've signed up for the beta to test it.
