MK808 "all models" Finless 1.7

Hi, Im running 1.7 for some time now. No problems, gr8 Rom. One thing, I just realized I have 808B original not the 808 . Is the BT only difference in this model so when I use 808 rom Im just loosing BT and all the rest works the same?

Anything special you did ? You simply copied it over the existing and restored the permissions ?!

All works great! With the version on the xbmc downloadpage nothing changes !!!
Now i can watch my 36th chamber of shaolin with 1080p with only minor picture hickups. It´s a difference like night and day. So with xbmc being alpha for android it´s only a waiting issue i hope

No errors encountered with the 1.7 Rom for MK808B since my last post!

If i can only get the keyboard get to work, like i want *maybe a matter of time or beer *

I have problem with wifi on 1.7 for mk808. On 1.6 wifi download was 4-5Mbps now i can't pas 1Mbps.

Cheap Logitech C110 web cam $17.00+change @Wally World (Walmart) works for Skype on USB hub. Plug-N-Play... Just FYI.

Thanks for your generous offer, Bob. I'm reluctant to give up my MK808 right now, when it's my only Android tv player, & the only thing wrong with it is the failure to boot into Recovery..

I'll PM you when my MK808Bs arrive, as then I'll be able to spare the extra device.

i does not have this sticker with BT symbol but on the board there is a sting: "MK808B V1.0 2012.10.24".

I've always installed Roms for MK808 (both V1.6 and V1.7) and everything worked fine (no BT obviously)

Rom still works fine, very good WiFi reception

Then you have a mk808 not B, cause mk808 have rk901 and mk808b have rk903 wifi chipset.

Feedback on sunvel clone:
I am using a MK808-B clone which is labeled on the circuit board as sunvel 1808. It is the version #3 without cpu cooler.
Used the sunvel rom. Everything is working except I can only power the unit trough the OTG port. Antutu benchmark gives a little above 7000. I red already about almost 10000. 6600 is what I had with the stock. Bob, thank you for you execellent work, please keep up with it.

1080p kernel problem

HI, first, i want to say, thank you bob, you did a really nice job, the 1.7 rom is working like monster. everything is fine, i mainly test the webcamera, the logitech C170 working great. also google voice search working well, but i get a problem for 1080p kernel.

i try to replace the boot file from boot720.img to boot1080p.img, i have flashed successfully, however, when connect the mk808/mk808b to check, it still show the screen size is 1280*672. i use the following app to test

when i flash with the kernel boot720.img, the default setting on display is 720p, when i flashwith the kernel boot1080.img, the default setting on display is 1080p. so i think i flash right, but how this comes.

the 1080p kernel is not the true 1080p? still scale from 720p?

for the other 1080P firmware i tried, when i flash 1080p, the screen icon and fonts will become smaller than usual. and test with software, it said 1920*1080 something like that.

wait for the answer.

What 1080p kernel are you using? I am using the one patched by vmirage in armtvtech and it is working good. Bob don't include the 1080p kernel in the zip, you have to download it and install. At least in "mk808b original".

I had the one that bob gives us for testing and I didnt see the 1080 kernel, only the boot, in mk808b version. I will download the new one and see. I am now in my mobile phone, when I arrive home I will give you the link.

I think you're mixing up the real kenel.img with boot.img which includes boot animation

In his Readme Bob clearly explains that
"Two boot.img's available. While this is NOT a 1080P ROM for those that want to use Kriz MK808 or other 1080 kernels and do not want the boot screen all jacked up, I have added a boot1080.img file. The boot720 is set as default. If you decide to use another 1080 kernel, just change to boot1080.img"
which means that there is no 1080 kernel in the package. You have to download it elsewhere.
