Hi, I am unable to install every version newer than rc1 on a Tronsmart Orion Meta.

Install firmware works but after that the system hangs while "optimizing files". There seem to be a problem with one initial app (out of 79). On rc1 everything was fine.

Any suggestions?

I use the Meta too and always Eraseflash before I flash the ROM.

Did the same... still the same prob... all app recompile with any problems. Finally one single app cause the tronsmart to hangup completely

Hello wasser.

With RC2 I cannot direct play AC3 and DTS in Plex (a problem that keeps coming every few firmware releases)

RC3 release notes state that it's fixed but it isn't.

With RC1 it was working fine.

Just a reminder, I am using a tronsmart Orion R28 Pro.

I installed v3.0.1

It's the first Rom newer than the rc1 that AC3 & DTS direct play works in Plex.

I think it has something to do with the changes you do for the ones that have problems with spidf.

Also the power button works again with this Rom . It didn't work with any of the rc roms. You could use it only for powering on the device , not for getting to standby mode or getting out of standby.

I am using a Tronsmart R28 Pro.

More feedback when I play a little bit more with it.

It's solved! My tv is 4k and I did activate UHD Color. it works again.

You can use tool like RK31xx_firmware and extract from one image firmware file 6 separate MTD partition images, one parameter and one loader.img file. Then flash those files excluding misc.img with Android Tool. Eventualy you can use Android Tool "Advanced Function" tab to extract/unpack single firmware file into aforementioned MTD partition images. But I didn't try this method yet.

Then try it this simple way:
Install Titanium-Backup Pro from playstore.
Do a backup of all your data and apps (save to ext. SD).
Flash the new wasser-rom the usual way.
Then reinstall TI-Backup and restore all data and apps from backup.

Here is my first impression of the 3.01 rom R89:
I often have a fickering screen (mostly in the lower part) for one ore two seconds when scrolling screen on apex-launcher or on starting apps or a videos!
Never had that before in older versions.
Videos running stutter free with video-app over hdmi (sound also working).

wasser , it seems that the beelink R89 can't be totally shut off using any power off app.....kindly also check the video playback micro stutter using mxplayer (very minor but noticeable when compared to 3.0.0 rc4)....
don't know , but i can feel that this specific rom (3.0.1) is more dedicated to tronsmart R28 users......

You don`t need netflix to stream HD, first Netflix cost money, second on a lot of cases the maximum resolution is SD standard definition which is 480p. You need to download showbox apk or Movie HD apk or megabox apk, better all of them, with this apk`s you will be able to stream HD and also FULL HD without any problem, this apk`s are reciving updates every day with the new episodes and new movies, you google it and download directly from the web, you will not find those apk`s on the google play store, Netflix is for those who live on USA and also for those that the money is not a problem.
