I use a number of streaming addons in Kodi and have found no problems yet aside from those that I don't expect to work in the first place.

I had a question and maybe somebody can help me with some explanation, because i cannot find anything on the internet about it.
Almost a year ago i looked for a tv box for my father, to play his music and some movies.
Because he had a big cd collection and hardware to play it, i suggest him to rip it to flac, in case his hardware would fail.
So i start ripping his collection, and searched for a fitting tv box..
Then i found some 24 bit 96khz music, took my laptop and plugged it into his receiver...He was stunned...
So another thing was added, the tv box had to play also this bit rate..
After reading and reading, i found a HImedia Q10 tv box...
My father bought some dvd's, and cd's and i put it in his collection...
When i installed the box plus all the settings, i started testing and tuning...
But i didn't found any issues plus everything was played, 3d in iso etc..
But also the music worked as it should, also the 24bit music was no problem..
So my question is, is it possible with my Beelink R89 and this new rom, to play higer bitrates.
I read in the pdf from rockchip that it supports it, but i also read about the limitations from my wasser rom or android.
But this rom had a new audio engine or so....
And it supposed to play also the higer bitrates, even very high ones..
So i can play my 24bit flacs, because i can play em, but it stays at the default bitrate with my rom.
And i searched the net, but maybe somebody can tell me, because i dont understand why some android boxes play things wich are not supported in android.
So is it a hardware fix, or pure software because sound was never really upgraded in android i read.
Thanks,

Nice speakers!Lets try it!
There are sites where you can download different kind off 24Bit files.
This one uses Flac24Bit.
By 96 or higher Khz
I hope the box can feed it to your receiver, and that it isn't downsampled.
But you never try this with that kind off speakers?
Thanks for testing, and let me know what think off it...If it works off course.

These WAV files did play on my Yamaha RX-V673 using a Tronsmart R28. I can't tell if the audio has been down sampled. Everyone was asleep so I couldn't turn it up to compare. I can try playing them on my Pioneer Elite tomorrow and see if it tells me the sample rate.
BTW what Android audio app do you prefer to use? I don't get a lot of listening time due to having young kids. My ML's get used to play a lot of Sesame Street.Tronsmart R28 PRO with wasser-2.0.7-beelink-r89-rk3288 ROM and MX Player

So the WAV files played, and the flac files?
Most off the time i use xbmc to play my music versus movies.
Mx player and xbmc, vlc all downsample the audio, but i dont use this rom..Yet..
And Sesame Street is always good, but cripsy clear with that kind off speakers!
Glad mine are older already, its now only the other way arround...They keep me awake.

Hi, i installed latest Wasser 3.0.2 firmware on Beelink but i have still problems with the sound on pioneer vsx-921
With the patched kodi 15.2 deliverd in first post i have audio-lag (not sync to video) and some stuttering in audio
with latest spmc 15.0 i only got noise and nothing else than stereo working
and with mx-player sound is perfect and synchonous to the video but why not with kodi ?
best regards,
Thomas

for those of you having screen flashing issues, playback issues, and the sound cutting in/out - I was able to resolve mine on an R89 and a Ubox by installing Wasser's 2.09 kitkat rom and then upgrading to the 3.0.2 Lollipop Rom. this yielded flawless playback for me using wasser's kodi. i'm using spdif as well and have no issues with DTS or Dolby Digital

Can you explain why upgrading from W 2.0.9 to 3.0.2 would yield flawless playback vs a clean install of 3.0.2?Tronsmart R28 PRO with wasser-2.0.7-beelink-r89-rk3288 ROM and MX Player
