Of course balbes150 can give you much better advice. But I'll give it a try.

I see you have not had success with the USB Burning Tool. Did you get the directions from Freaktab or over at the Tronsmart forum? I ask as there are two different methods for using the USB Burning Tool.

Is it possible to boot balbes150's SD boot/run images?

For flashing, have a look at these.....

      This maybe helpful

You will find a recent discussion on SD card updating here. I have yet to try this method.
      Related article here.

You will find one of the USB Burning Tool methods here. This is the method. I usually use.

      Good luck, keep us posted.

If the boot loader is still serviceable and was previously activated multiupload. You can try this option. To capture the image Armbian or LE to external media. Be SURE to add in the root section of the written medium the correct dtb file (with the name "dtb.img"). Try to start the system from external media (need to wait for system start up at least 5 minutes). If the system cannot start, there is only one option - to open the case and close the contacts on the eMMC memory to run the program firmware via USB cable or rename the file aml_autoscript s905_autoscript in and run the system Armbian with external SD card (all the latest images feature a built-in u-boot , which starts automatically when you disconnected the loader from the internal memory).

Hi I was able to get the box up through SD Card Image, which is a good start, proven that the box is active and not dead as I initially thought, however, it won't still load in Kodi when I remove the SD image just blank screen.
Here is the image taken from the external SD

Based on the Screen, I can I write to internal as Reboot from NAND or this is a bad idea.

Run the installation LE in the internal memory. If you have the correct dtb file, when you install it will overwrite the incorrect file. After that should earn LE from the internal memory and you can restore the standard firmware (via cable). By the way, in the future, I recommend before any changes, make a full backup of the entire internal memory (with loader and all office files). This will allow to boot from external media and restore the system in the same condition as it was at the time of copying (with all settings and stuff).

To do a clean install using SD card/USB drive*and then transfer Libreelec*internal memory:

              ...

              11. Eject your SD card or USB stick from your computer and insert it into your Tronsmart. Use the toothpick method to boot your Tronsmart.
-If it just keeps cycling back to the Tronsmart logo and will not boot into Libreelec, unplug your Tronsmart and plug it back in WITHOUT
-using the toothpick method and it should boot into Libreelec.

              12. Verify Libreelec runs correctly from the SD card or USB stick and shut down your Tronsmart.

              13. Take the SD card or USB stick out of your Tronsmart and insert it back into your computer.

              14. Navigate to your SD card or USB stick drive on your computer.

              15. Look for the file called "install.sh" and rename it to "install.aml"

              16. Eject your SD card or USB stick from your computer.

              17. Insert your SD card or USB stick back into your Tronsmart and power your Tronsmart on.

              18. Wait about 20 seconds and Libreelec files will start copy to your internal memory of your Tronsmart.
-this process takes about 1 minute to complete.

              19. Once install to internal memory is complete, you will have to install all add-ons as your cache and userdata will be wiped.
I am able to get step 11 (using toothpick) and then boot to SD without toothpick in step 12.

After setting up I power off and plug SD back into PC but there is no file named install.sh

              The only files are:
              kernel.img
              SYSTEM
              kernel.img.md5
              SYSTEM.md5
              dtb.img
              aml_autoscript
              s905_autoscript
              aml_autoscript.zip

Any help on getting it to install to internal memory would be great.

              Thanks!

@balbes 150, How to install into INTERNAL MEMORY, based on the instruction "15. Look for the file called "install.sh" and rename it to "install.aml", says to rename install.sh.
even my self I am confused because I couldn't find the install.aml.

The question is : could please provide a clean guide to install into INTENAL MEMORY, it seem few people are confused based on the thread, including my self.

                  Thanks for your usual supports.

Balbes, I am using https://yadi.sk/d/srrtn6kpnsKz2/Libreelec/KRYPTON-17/LibreELEC-S905.aarch64-8.0.0_20161206.img.gz This looked to be the newest release. Where do I find the newest releases? The instructions I have been reading refer to https://yadi.sk/d/srrtn6kpnsKz2/Libreelec

File "install.sh" appeared only in the latest test version (directory "7.0.3.11_test"). Previous versions are installed on the internal memory by the same rules - either by connecting via SSH and run the script, either through copy and launch mode rekovery external media archive ".zip".

I noticed that the image for 7.03.12 wont write to SDCard, so I write the 7.0.3.11 internal memory, then used the "7.0.3.12 tar file to update, everything works fine. Hope to see 7.95.2 beta on Arch Linux 64bit soon.

Cheers! Thanks as always for your build.
