Did you flash the rom stock before installing the v8
I have 7.1.2 ( beelink OTA) atm so I though it would work. I think I will flash the stock image and try again.

For real HDR content your LED tv needs to have 1000nits brigness and be a 10bit panel. as far as I know these LED tv only existed since 2016 with Samsung's quantum dot

OLED is differant because pixels can be turned on and off

My opinion on HDR games and movies? colors look washed out.. And grey

As the other user says, prime video when starting a movie force close. And another thing is that I haven't weather on home screen clock widget after enable it on cLock app.

For all other thing V8 is great

My TV is 2012, saw what you said I'm far from true HDR ....
HDR should be unnecessary on my side, I think that being more active force rendering with kodi, and can be made or planted bugguer

Don't use Yahoo as source it won't work. use the other option.

Did prime work on v6 or v7?

Do you think we can get this youtube version?
Since its announcement in February, we've been waiting and waiting for YouTube TV to get a proper app on Android TV. That day has finally come.

Hey again! I've been looking around everywhere and I think I found a way to add my IR remote to this rom. Do you think this guide works on this rom?
You can follow this to build your rom and I will release the docs about how to add the support for a new IR tomorrow

Do you have a copy of V6? I am not sure if it worked on V6, just want to verify if it did.

Anything added to the data partition is lost on factory reset so not ideal even if it did work.

Not to mention the Data partition is more locked down than system, without root and busybox you can't even view it in a file manager as this is where apps are pulled and pirated.

The idea is that manufactures of these input devices use scancodes that match the generic.kl as its universal across android devices

Well explained! Placing in /system partition does make a lot of sense.

If you made a .kl for you remote please upload it so it can included. Same for everyone else.
Have attached the file with my post.

Did you get a chance to look into the Prime Video issue? I can check if it worked on V6 if you can share the same.

                            Cheers,

tillaz, would you say it's easy to edit the device tree? I want to try and add my remote but have no Idea how to access some of the files.
Magendaz ROM works with the remote.conf replacing technique but I really prefer yours and the codes for the settings key and kodi are not on services.jar like yours so I can't play around with it.

maybe not on windows. but not sure don't know much about it, other than beelink should of reverted to having it the way it is in the base firmware Magendaz ROM uses as it used to be
