The latest update has no Kodi at Tanix, so I have installed the latest Official by play store.
So, we have both the official updates available and lower temp.

After you have installed Kodi, have a look at the system info in Kodi.

With other brand boxes I had the experience that there are some Kodi system files installed, and when you install Kodi they become active.

Don't know if this is the case with Tanix, but I have noticed this with a few boxes lately.

If these system files are installed you will notice during Kodi setup that settings like "expert" or " unknown sources" are already enabled by default.

With Vorke in Kodi system info it also shows Kodi version Kodi 17.6 xx-xxxx-xxxx Dirty.

There is no advanced settings file as explained in the wiki, so I assume they entered them in the GUI xml.

With the latest Vorke firmware there are also frame switching settings in the playback settings menu in Android system settings
Cheers, I'll have a read of that now. Do you know if the frame rate switching settings work? I've been using a frame rate switcher addon on the box i have got now, its a bit buggy but does an ok job of switching frame rates.

It's just KODI 17.6 in my case.
And the rest of settings were default.

I tested to play Lego Star Wars TFA downloaded form Playstore on my new Vorke Z6 plus. Games is starting well, but then, while moving in the map, the landscape turns black so I can not see anything but some buttons on the screen. When turning around the landscape comes back but disapears again. Can someone please test the game on his box. I would like to know whether it is a failure in my box or the box can not handle this game.
          Thanks in forward.

Ive received my box today but the wrong mains cable was shipped out with it, i got the 2 pin eu plug instead of a uk one. I only had a shaver travel adapter (1 amp) to hand so i used that. I noticed kodi and spmc wasnt as smooth as it should be on video playback. Will the fact i was using a 1amp adapter have anything to do with it? Ive emailed geekbuying to ask for the correct cable to be sent to me and have ordered another travel adapter in the mean time that is 13 amps. Cheers.

Im using the 13 amp adapter now so the box should be running at full power but the playback on spmc and kodi is still not smooth (spmc is worse) some of the settings on the box are new to me, is there anything i should turn on/off so it runs better?

Ive turned on amcodec on spmc and it seems to have solved my choppy playback. Does this mean kodi krypton wont work as it should on this box because it doesnt support amcodec? The vorke modified Kodi wasnt preinstalled after i did the ota firmware update (29/12/2017) when i 1st turned on my box so i am using kodi krypton off play store. I tried to install the kodi version that is on the kodi updater but it wouldnt install. There are two versions on it, 16 and 17 would any of these play better? Thanks

I don't believe so, as Vorke Z6 is the same with TX92, and my Tanix runs flawlessly the stock Kodi 17'6, that I have installed from play store.

Cheers for the reply, it seems to be just live tv that isnt running smooth on kodi, films are running fine. Live tv is running perfect on spmc so i cant suss out why it isn't on kodi. Ive wiped the box this morning and added the latest firmware via usb from the vorke site and all the settings on kodi are set to what they should be.

Try remove Kodi, reboot and install Kodi from Playstore or whatever.

The Kodi included with the latest Vorke firmware is a modified version, which you will notice if you go to system info in Kodi it will say 17.6 "Dirty"

Ive tried the playstore version and the dirty version which ive got installed now and theyre both jumpy on live tv. Spmc was the same until i selected amcodec aswell as the other two decoders and now its perfect. Im using spmc for live tv and kodi for addons which im quite happy to do but i cant understand why its only live tv that has issues which worked fine on kodi on my s905x box that i was using previously.

Enable debug logging in Kodi and see what your frame rate is.

In Vorke system settings > playback there are also frame rate adjustment settings. Try to play with those as well

Cheers, ill check the debug info. I had a mess with the auto1 and auto2 settings for the frame rate switching and it was setting my tv to 25fps which my tv didnt seem to like. Ive got a frequency switcher addon installed now which sets 25fps streams to 50fps which my tv plays a lot better. If kodi was over ruling my box settings for the frame rate how would i stop it. Ive noticed the resolution that is greyed out on kodi is 1080 60fps could it be running at 60fps so that is conflicting with my tv that is set to 50fps through the box settings? Hope that makes sense, ha.

                              No idea about that.

I have also 1080p 50hz set as screen resolution on all my boxes, as it reduces Kodi - CPU load by about 25% compared to when it is set at 1080p 60Hz.

In Vorke I have auto 1 enabled, and that worked well. Auto 2 is also not liked by my tv.
