I dont see how you will be able to send bricked device back when you voided warranty by opening box and installing custom firmware in the first place and give mony back

I didn't put any firmware... Was on the process of installing the ATV ROM by the updater that i got a frozen MBOX logo and then after unplug and plug the power i got the blue led and a black screen. Nothing more

Not sure what you are trying to cast, but these boxes only cast YouTube.

Thank you for your suggestion, I’ve just tried it, but it didn’t work. After I open the app (air screen) WiFi connection doesn’t work and when I try to reconnect, I have no result. On my phone, the app works just fine.

I just tried from my phone, and you are correct, I got the same error. It does work from my Windows 10 computer. I can "cast" my YouTube videos from my computer and it plays on my TV...... Not sure what the difference is.

I just tested my Mecool M8S Pro PLUS running Magendanz's ROM and it gives the same error from my phone.

That would be 10 steps backward, if they did not include Widevine level 1.

This is my solution of the problem with the heat:

40x40x11mm Evercool fan on 5V , connected on the back of the USB:






Results:

Original HS - max temp with StressCPU- 80C;
30x30x14 HS with lifted lis cover - 80C;
40x40x11 fan on 5V with modded lid cover - 55C

The box is practically noiseless, absolutely quiet with this fan.

Thanks trebor trebor, I've just ordered one. It will be interesting to see if the Widevine Support fixes my Foxtel Now issues that i have with the M8S Pro

Interesting, I have a KM8P and the only app that won't fully load is Foxtel Now.... so i've seen something in the build.prop about it... can it be modified?
