There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with my box though... wonder if I should reflash using these settings?

As for Magisk, yeah I don't really care... whatever root comes with the box is good enough for me. I basically only use it to fix the keyboard and adaway.
Think of it like installing your windows. While formatting it, you get two options. Clean format or keep your files and settings install. Normal erase might leave a file or two behind. The key selection is for those who have flashed their device so many times that their regular configuration has gone haywire. Its always better to select complete format and with both keys. The chance of residual crap is very less this way. Plus it helps calm the nerves if you are paranoid like me.

I also dont care for root, because I use kodi and it doesnt have any ads. But its always you know, cool and hip to have latest magisk. I use ethernet, still I beg in 4pda for working wifi. If its there, I should be able to use it, doesnt matter if I dont use it. It should be available.

Hi, what is the different between erase bootloader and not erase? Will I be able to flash other rom again with erase bootloader?
And can i know overwrite both MAC means what? What is the impact?

If I knew all that I would be a developer for these boxes. All I know is I select erase all. erase bootloader. whether overwrite key. and tick both mac and mac wifi. I dont know what erase bootloader does, but I do know, when we select it, the boot loader is rewritten with current selected firmware. So while changing from oreo to pie, bootloader must be erased and flashed cleanly. Also, If you are merely trying different roms, you can do so without overwriting keys everytime. Since keys get used up when you select them. So I only use the keys when I have to settle on a rom. Last time I used it when I was flashing the russian custom rom and I was not planning to move away from it. Luckily, Pie stock rom came along in a few days. I still did not use the keys when I was trying Pie. Only when I had tried pie and decided to settle with it, I used the keys. So without keys is like pre marital relationship for me. We can try any which way we want without using keys. When we want to get married to one firmware, and settle down, we use keys to make sure wifi and bluetooth work fine.

Mac is your mac address. Your device has a unique mac address. If mac config gets messed due to multiple firmware flashes, your mac will become 00:00:00 and so on. It BT or WIFI or both will stop working.

I'm using Pie now after doing a clean flash and everything is working great. Hope to find a TWRP recovery for it soon.

You cant have magisk I told you earlier. You have system wide root already. If you dont want root, you can flash Unroot zip. You cant have magisk yet.

Died. I just did a TWRP restore. After restore done, it appear a error stated no directory found. Then prompt me reboot. As usual i reboot and now unable to boot up.
The box has no power light on. And I cant flash the box either. Is it a power supply failure? I couldn't start the box now with power.

How are you managing to break the box again and again? Try to plug box in pc. See if its LED lights up. You might need to use short pin method to get your box to flash again. Search google and youtube for shorting pins method.

Major problem with Pie, It has changed the language to Chinese and setting it back to English won't work.
