    Back up the current configuration

    Hello all,
This is my first post, first of all thank you to everybody.

Now the question, how can i make a full back up of my current configuration?
Would be possible reinstall the back up in case the new 1.6b was not good or any?

My stick is now running Finless 1.5 1080version and i would like to update to 1.6b, but before i think could be better make a back up.

    Thank you again.

just search the leolas post for cwm recovery and flash the img file for your device (cx919 and others are available, be sure what you do)
from cwm, you can make a nandroid backup and put it in a safe place
i make various nandroid backups but i never tried to restore them...i dont know if it works

Is there a way to change the bootscreen when the mini PC boots up, maybe somehow by editing the boot.img?

You can not change the splash screen that first appears and says tronsmart, this is in the bootloader. You can change the bootanimation, there are even apps for that. Just replace system/media/bootanimation.zip

You can even make your own by looking at that file and learning.

Actually that first splash screen is in the kernel.

On my cx919 with the cwm version for the cx919. Backups restore just fine. No issue.

                    Configuration Back-up'd

Thanks to Marianote who redirected me to leolas, so finally, thanks to Leolas also.
I have made the back-up for my cx-919 following the second method detailed by leolas.
During the installing proccess for the differents apps needed to complete the step-by-step instruction I had the feel that Finless 1.5 already includes the tools and, may be, the partition to go into recovery mode without any other requirement. Is it in this way?
I question it because i wonder if the new Finless 1.6b also includes all the structure to go into recovery mode, even more, if could be possible use the same back-up made prior to install the 1.6b version without need to follow the Leolas step-by-step.

Of course, thank you to Bob Finless...

                      Wake up from deep sleep

Offcourse many thanks for all the hard work. The ROM works pretty well.
I do have one question though ...
I have the tronsmart cx-919 with a tronsmart air mouse. I can put the device into sleep by pressing the power button on the air mouse for 3 - 5 seconds.
Pressing any button on the air mouse will turn on the device (it goes out of sleep). But when I wait for more then 2 minutes, the device will not turn on at all. I have to turn off the power supply en put it back on.

I would like to know how to get the device out of deep sleep. Any help would be appreciated

                      Regards,
                      Richard

                        RKRemoteControl - where is underscore?

Sorry if this should be placed in another thread, but I'll try to ask here. I have been using the RKRemoteControl apk, version 2.0.2. I must be blind because I cannot find the underscore (underbar) button. Can someone point it out to me? Thanks.

                          AW: UPDATED - CX919 - 4.2.2 - Finless ROM 1.6b

Hi bob, thanx for that rom, it works fine on my mates cx919, only provlem left is that occasionally the video output goes off for a second causing a blue screen on tv just to come back on as it didnt happen. I suspect the power supply to be the culprit for that, has anyone seen the same and cured it?

I have the same issue with the short abrupt video loss. I have tried different power units, the highest being 5v 2.1a and still have the issue. I have noticed that it happens less often when I use the port marked usb than when I use the dc port. It is the only issue I have left with the cx919, Finless 1.6b has taken care of the rest. Cheers bob!

What kernel do u use? It could also be the sam1080 non oc kernel, just flashed stock 1080p kernel for testing

I'm new to TV Sticks and I loaded the 1.6b ROM last weekend. This loss of video output to the TV has happened to me a couple of times also. Otherwise it is working excellently, Netflix working no problems.
