It is about bit rate... If the bit rate is to high you won't be able to steam 480p movies.

So saying that 1080p doesn't work is wrong. It works great for me. However, the quality, due to the low bit rate, is not that great.

so you can stream 1080P movies from your nas to this stick, without any problem? I can stream 720P without any problem, only the 1080P stops and it buffer and it stop so it look like it is to slow. How can I make it faster I have Asus RT66U router so and the signal is full but I always see on wifi connection 65mbs and that is with every firmare what I put in.

Yes I can. Try lowering the size of the file until it works.

@michel30: tried the finless rom problem is still same it keeps flickering and now the mouse cursor is gone out of control too.....everything was fine when I first used it before rooting so must be the roms or settings playing up. Any way to unroot it to original stock

          I don't know,
only here you can get a stock software, the latest, but the one from finless works better for me.

You mean 6 gb file for 1080P and not the 16GB file?

What I mean is this: Imagine two movies.
One is 720p, 30 minute long and 100 gigabyte big.
The other is 1080p, 30 minute long and 50 megabytes big.

The WiFi is quite capable of sending 50MB in 30 minutes. However it is impossible to send 100GB in 30 minutes.

It all comes down to what bit rate the movie is in. It doesn't matter what resolution is used.

Of you want to stream 1080p movies over WiFi, make sure the bit rate is low, low enough for the WiFi to handle it without interruptions.

Same problem here. I have a Tronsmart CX919. The screen flickers after the rom update. Switching to (alleged) stock rom doesn't seem to have any effect. Flickering doesn't occur when I set HDMI to 720x576. If I go any higher (1280x720 of 1920x1800) it is stable for 5 seconds and then starts blinking (1 second normal view, 1 second blank screen and so on). Would appreciate any input/suggestions. Cheers...

Hello people, First post here and a newbie to the world of android tv and custom roms etc - please excuse if this is a re-occurring question and the wrong place to ask as I ever so often see scanning forums loool - awaiting the arrival of a Tronsmart CX-919 from geekbuying and I'm trying to work out the most recommended rom, firmware and kernel to use, not too worried about 1080p as such, I'm more about stability and speed, am looking to overclock if recommended and can heat mod if need be - I know a bit pretty computer savvy if I do say so myself but in between working and being a father of a 15month old little terrori don't get as much 'tinkering' time as I used to these days! - I'm guessing finless 1.6b over other available roms but what's the most stable and speedy kernel with all fixes.... Again excuse my ignorance, any advice and guidance would be greatly appreciated, I'm curious as to what Finless Bobs setup is on his cx-919. Thanks ppl - Smokez

Strangest thing, just tried the newest 4.4.2 KitKat rom from http://blog.geekbuying.com/index.php.../#.UsMGZX-9KK0 and no more blinking; issue solved To bad this beta is underclocked @ 1200 MHz.
