Neomode Custom Rom MK809III Version 3.1 Android 4.4.2 *Update*

I finally got around to installing this rom. Unfortunately, I can't get audio out of the default kernel. Wifi works great, bluetooth also works great. Is there more than one audio chip too?

Besides that, two video players show up, two gallery apps show up, and screen scale doesn't stick after a reboot.

Otherwise, this rom was fast and stable. But audio out is a deal breaker.

Screenscale seems to take a couple of reboots before it kicks in not sure why but it eventually does.

The duplacation and audio though shouldn't be happening..bad flash maybe?

Now that Kitkat screw us out of vold.fstab file, is there a way to swap internal and ext. sd card? From Bob's Kitkat http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...ifi-BETA/page4, Finless Bob said it will require a new boot.img which he has post https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9BF...VRbnF3Y2M/edit.
@neomode: Any chance that Bob's swapped boot.img is compatible with neomode mk809iii 3.1?
If not, can somebody direct me to a tutorial to how to build the boot.img to swap int. and ext. sd card?

Been trying to get help on the XBMC.org forum but nothing yet, so I thought I'd ask here.
With the 1.7 version of Neomode's rom, I could connect to my server using SMB.
Since updating to the 3.1 Neomode rom I can no longer add an SMB server. When I try I get to the point where the network is selected, in my case called WORKGROUP, then I get an error, Operation not permitted. Does this work for others or is anyone else having the same issue or know how I can resolve it?

Boot screen can be easily added by anyone and there never been a shutsown animation.
Keyboard can be easily download but yes its missing from the rom on startup.
Xbmc odd didn't see that but since you didn't include hardware we don't know if its incompatibility.

strange but xbmc FS seems to have fixed itself ( 13 beta3 )
now works just sometimes needs a few times to get started, drops back to home screen occasionally (only)when opening.
Once open, works rock solid and fast so problem any more

I'm using windows 7, also MK809III (T model) here and XBMC 13 beta 3.
I recently found that if I add ip's manually by selecting Add network location, it works through SMB.
Still doesn't work when trying to browse the network by selecting Windows network (SMB).
Seems strange that when running a jellybean rom I could browse the network. My other (identical) tv stick, is still running jellybean and I can browse the network on it to select SMB shares.
Adding SMB shares manually is a bit complicated for my wife so I'll continue to look for a fix that will let me browse the network.

I downloaded a virtual keyboard from the playstore as Magnus33 suggested to me. Works great. I used this one:

Sorry but yes, You need a USB wired keyboard to be able to log to playstore. Enter the username then press tab to advance to the password field.

Sorry but yes, You need a USB wired keyboard to be able to log to playstore. Enter the username then press tab to advance to the password field.

Thinking it might be a bad flash, I tried again and still no sound. So I downloaded the ROM again and rrefreshed, but still no sound. Going back to 1.9A worked.

That was with my RK3188 stick. So I tried again with my RK3188T stick and got the same result. I might try with another TV to see if it's an HDMI compatibility issue. I've noticed one other person report the same on this thread. Weird.

You can also just search on google "kitkat keyboard apk", download the apk, put it in a usb pen or usb drive. Connect it to your device and install the apk
