      Neomode,
I began using the power supply that comes with the device and up to now it's working excellent. Thank you! I'm very happy it finally works.
A question, is there a way to avoid the voice search panel from appearing every time you click on a text field?
Thanks so much. This rom seems to work perfectly.

You can turn that off in the settings. Not sure where but I found it quite easily.

            OK...
Gave NCR 3.1 a whirl but had to revert to NCR 1.9a again. IMHO, nothing has beaten 1.9a's stability and video performance on my non -T MK802IV. I didn't muss with different kernels in 3.1, as the stick is the family media center and system down time doesn't work out well in our household. As such, I did a pseudo comparison of each with only their default kernels.

I had difficulties achieving stable video output with 1080p films that the 1.9a version would render effortlessly. When playing locally hosted files I would get split second freezes in A/V, compounding until artifacts populate the screen. The system sometimes became unresponsive for up to 5 seconds at a time. However, I did get some of the fastest WiFi speeds I've ever seen. Downloads seemed lightening quick. Should have gauged it. I was impressed by the throughput but forgot to run recorded tests.
For whatever reason my MK802iv doesn't like the Reboot app when connected to my powered USB hub. I assume the additional power input is confusing the OS and hanging on the shutdown prompt until both DC and OTG ports are unplugged.
1.9a takes key combos from my keyboard, such as Ctrl-Alt-Del to restart the stick, Ctrl-C to copy, etc. 3.1 didn't seem to accept the same scope of key input. Additionally, in 3.1 the media and system buttons on my K400 keyboard became useless or behaved oddly. I'm not sure if all this is due to the glaringly obvious fact that this ROM was never intended for the 802IV, but it should be mentioned.

I love KitKat but 1.9a has what I need until a suitable rom is released. Eagerly looking forward to the next MK802iv release. Thank you for all your involvement and patience. You're the man, Ray!

                Playback issues .

                Frame skipping on youtube.

Not present in finless 4.4 rom or older 4.2 roms. (A928 with D33 v3.0 kernel)

Noticed on Mk802IV T versions. (stock kernel and D33 V3.0 causes stuttering in plex)

Now if we could combine the two

Finless rom better settings layout with all the features present (screen cast, day dreams and so on)

Neomode more friendly UI setup with shutdown button, working download folder and hide button.

                  Thanks for your work Neomode,
                  I have 2 identical MK809II's.
                  When I look in Settings/Storage:
On the one that has Neomode 3.1 on it I show 312MB of total NAND flash space. I have only a few apps installed and only have 86MB of free space. After one 55MB XBMC nightie download, the next one fails due to lack of available space. I must empty the downloads folder in order to download another XBMC update.
On the one that has Neomode 1.7 on it I show 672MB of total NAND flash space.
On both I used the 6GB parameter file that came in the package.
Do you have any idea why there is such a difference between the 2 roms and are you able to, using a parameter file to increase the available app space?

Here are the differences I found in the two parameter files:
                  Neo's 3.1 CMDLINE:console=ttyFIQ0 androidboot.console=ttyFIQ0 init=/init initrd=0x62000000,0x00800000 mtdparts=rk29xxnand:0x00002000@0x00002000(misc),0x 00006000@0x00004000(kernel),0x00006000@0x0000a000( boot),0x00010000@0x00010000(recovery),0x00020000@0 x00020000(backup),0x00040000@0x00040000(cache),0x0 0c00000@0x00080000(userdata),0x00002000@0x00c80000 (metadata),0x00002000@0x00c82000(kpanic),0x0018000 0@0x00c84000(system),-@0x00e04000(user)

                  Neo's 1.7 CMDLINE:console=ttyFIQ0 androidboot.console=ttyFIQ0 init=/init initrd=0x62000000,0x00800000 mtdparts=rk29xxnand:0x00002000@0x00002000(misc),0x 00006000@0x00004000(kernel),0x00008000@0x0000A000( boot),0x00010000@0x00012000(recovery),0x00020000@0 x00022000(backup),0x00040000@0x00042000(cache),0x0 0c00000@0x00082000(userdata),0x00002000@0x00c82000 (kpanic),0x00100000@0x00c84000(system),-@0x00d84000(user)

Not sure if this might be helpful, I copied this from a recent thread in the development forum, claimed to give 3GB of data space on a tablet.
                  mtdparts=rk29xxnand:0x00002000@0x00002000(misc),0x 00006000@0x00004000(kernel),0x0000e000@0x0000a000( boot),0x00010000@0x00018000(recovery),0x00020000@0 x00028000(backup),0x00040000@0x00048000(cache),0x0 0600000@0x00088000(userdata),0x00002000@0x00688000 (kpanic),0x00113000@0x0068A000(system),-@0x0079D000(user)

                  EDIT:
This morning, I reflashed the 3.1 rom using the 4GB parameter file rather than the 6GB file.
Now I show NAND flash Total space as 2.3GB and Internal Storage as 3.94GB.
Quite a difference over the 312MB of app space and 5.91GB Total internal storage the 6GB parameter file was giving me.
It's curious that in both cases the total storage is around 6GB. Does this mean the 6GB parameter file has a problem or is it a device issue?
Hopefully this helps others that might be experiencing the same difficulty.

                    external webcam and skype

Can anyone please confirm if v4l for webcam support is available in 3.1? I tried 3.0 version but it's not recognizing webcam.

@Neomode: you have used d33 v3.0 kernel? In his changelog it is mentioned that after 2.0 version he has added v4l support in kernel then why your 3.0 rom didn't support webcam??

                    What about RKRemote control support?

Please advice. I need skype vedio calling to be working on some rom.

                      bad wifi no bluetooth

Hi, loaded the standard version (no changes in toolkit) to a MK802IV with AP6210. Everything works, but wifi is slow as hell and often connection time out messages, even the WIFI signal shows full. BT not working.
Tried different kernel (kernel_t_cpu1608h_gpu798h_ddr720.img) and it is the same problem with WIFI and BT.
With the official FW from rikomagic I had no problems with WIFI or BT.
                      Any idea?

It would seem the new D33 kernels from rockchip sources may have removed video playback issues.

Is the new D33 kernels "compatible" with Neomode 3.1 rom? Last time I tried a D33-kernel with a neomode-rom it was much slower in the over all desktop performance than Neomodes kernels. Is this new kernel still able to oc the T-chip? Can it passtrough DD/DTS?.

Where can I find this new kernel?

                          Best regards,

Super nice! Got a working device audio (even 5.1) and all.

I have a rk3188T with a MTK wireless chipset. Would love to have a working kernel for wilress, bluetooth I don't care.

Tried the test MTK kernel: Android 4.4_MT7601_V2.0 it has a reboot loop at startup (even before the boot screen).

                              Hello guys,

I've just installed this Rom and everything is working fine, but in Watchever App in Germany I can't play any movies because of restrictions regarding HDMI cable connection. In my last Rom (Finless 1.6b) it was working even today. Maybe the device description (was Samsung gt-i9300 tablet, now Rockchip mk809iii Tablet). Any clues? Thanks.

                              Regards,
                              Peter

Certainly faster and the rest you need to test since we have different hardware.
