Probably shouldn't be taking over this thread but it's like old home week. I was in Westmount yesterday, have relatives over there, the Potties, owned a store over there.

first impressions of 3.1 , I must say it's a step back from 3.0

- no keyboard present in the rom. I literally had to borrow a usb keyboard to do initial setup like network etc
- no boot and shutdown animations ( black screen until homescreen )
- xbmc (13) not fullscreen anymore ? - might be settings but install on 3.0 went FS right away
- video performance seems on par with 3.0 - ok

going back to 3.0 until a proper 3.2 comes out

Boot screen can be easily added by anyone and there never been a shutsown animation.
Keyboard can be easily download but yes its missing from the rom on startup.
Xbmc odd didn't see that but since you didn't include hardware we don't know if its incompatibility.

Hi,

Neomode, I know you said that you would look in to the DD/DTS-passthrough issue. In the mean time I have been trying to fix the issue my self with NO progress. I downloaded an already patched libmedia.so for a totally different rom which ofcourse didnt work at all. I had to reflash the whole stick to get it to boot again. The patch I'm after is the one by Safstrom but I think it has to be done to a libmedia.so that comes from this (NeoMode 3.1) rom. Do you have time to do this?

EDIT: libmedia.so not medialib.so

In the 3.0, PowerAmp recognized mnt/usb_storage/USB_DISK0.
But in the 3.1 PowerAmp don't recognize....
Any way to make it work?

No audio through HDMi on MK802IV

First of all thanks to Neomode for such a great rom!
All works perfect on MK802IV except for audio: no sound on my TV even after changing audio settings.
This seems to be known problem of this KitKat release due to adaptation from a tablet version.
Any hope for sound fix?
