I have a white 16Go model running on stock 1.6 firmware (only rooted with mmrrdd method + downloaded a SDcard fix from Google playstore): neither valerima's method nor mmrrdd's method works for me.
-> Using android terminal emulator I have a permission problem on the SDcard
-> and using mobile uncle tools: can't find SDcard.
I guess this is a systems permission problem, but I don't know where to look. If anyone has an idea, feel free to give your input !

TWRP install ?

ROM Download
So what do you get?- UK English by default
- Root
- Removal of Chinese apps
- init.d support with busybox integration
- option of CWM recovery built with rua1's MTK Droid Root Tool, also included is Lepi's TWRP recoveries
- auto install feature:- if you create an autoinstall folder on your sdcard containing any default apks they will install on first boot. I tend to be sparing in this just loading my preferred file browser, terminal emulator and titanium backup.
I've included instructions within the download for flashing both the full ROM (required if you are changing from Cube's earlier firmware) or flashing just boot and system (ANDROID).
Hope this is of some use.
Brian
PS Lepi pointed out to me that its easy to boot into recovery as follows. First power off the U65GT, it vibrates when shut down completes. Press and hold power for about a second then press and hold vol+ until a menu displays (its small in white). Scroll through the menu options with vol+ and select with vol-
CWM zip fix for read only external sd card. Download and put onto the sdcard (internal or external), reboot to recovery and update.

Is this an explanation ?
SuperUser is installed on mine, both TiBackup and root checker are confirming that the tablet is rooted & SuperUser is activated.
Don't seems to be the source of the problem on mine, but due to that impossibility to save the nvram file I don't want to rush flashing a new ROM.

Brian ...
I just downloaded your ROM for my soon to be here Talk 9X. I applaud you for what looks to be simple and concise instructions. Thanks.
One question.
What is the difference between the 'ROM Download ' & 'ROM Download update from 6 Aug ' ?
I downloaded the Aug.6 version, but just wondering why the original is still listed? Usually the newest version is all anyone wants.
Thanks again. I look forward to this new adventure in the land of CUBE! Been a Pipo fan for a long time !
Drinking the new coolaid!

I tried to flash Brian's ROM yesterday, but I'm stuck with drivers installation. I can't install drivers when I plug the tablet. Been trying to install manually then but with no success. It seems that the drivers in the X86 folder are X64 versions (or at least my windows thinks so).
I'm on win 7 SP1 (X86): any idea how to install the drivers without problems? I know some people faced the same problems and succeeded to install the drivers!
