I'm having a lot of problems with music addons in 5.0.3

I tried the same addons I'm having problems with on my G Box Mx2 running codes Devel 328 build and they play great. For me 5.0.3 is running good on my G Box Q. Accept most music addons and not being able to connect an ethernet cable to my box to ssh or samba instead of using wifi.

I havent tried any music add ons yet so I'll see if it's doing it to me

getting black playback when playing video with latest 5.0.3 on some screens. any ideas?
        # cat /sys/class/display/mode
        720p59hz
I've been running it straight for a few hours and haven't had this happen. Could it be the add on itself? Maybe a buffer problem? I wonder if changing the resolution might help

Hi codesnake, first thanks for your job I really enjoy using OpenElec on my CSM8 / M8 box.

However I have one feature request, is this possible to add "CONFIG_AM_VIDEOCAPTURE" to the kernel ? The whole purpose of this is being able to use this box with an ambilight-like setup based on hyperion/boblight servers on a remote Rpi. Here's a link for the whole story here http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=219563&pid=1939858#pid1939858 I also think somebody created an issue on the github.

          Thanks again.

Hey just a quick question for you about your remote Pi for hyperion or Boblight, what tutorial did you follow.. all I can find are tutorials to run them with xbmc on the pi as well.. I'm looking for a standalone ambilight with my Pi.

Well install Hyperion addon from this repo https://github.com/poljvd/script.service.hyperion
Configure the addon, usually you only need to set the rpi ip address. On the rpi side just follow the same tutorials. It should work when you play video after this on your device running kodi. Except if it is an Amlogic device, or you should disable amcodec hardware decoding for testing.

for some of my m8 devices, the pvr doesn't work from the start unless "wait for network" is enabled. any idea why this is? also, i have a custom build with some changes from codesnake's (great work by the way, appreciated) 5.0.3. is it possible that i can create a patch for setting WIFI and "wait for network" to be ON by default? it's essential for me.

                thanks.

hi, thanks for response. the problem goes away when i use software decoding instead of hardware decoding..

Well I've checked the source code and it looks like the CONFIG_AM_VIDEOCAPTURE option is already enabled on the 5.0.3 release so it might miss something to have /dev/videocap0 available. Also I tried to compile the OpenElec 5.0.3 on a Debian but the compilation failed lately when it tries to compile libssl if I'm correct.

Tronsmart remote is not working I can't power on/off and not able to navigate Kodi, so I used USB/keyboard to power down, to power on I have to manually press box bottom.
Any solutions to get remote working.

                                Cheers
