Well of course I didn't get any sound since nothing was connected to SPDIF

I think I have a similar problem with "kaufman" above...

Have you been into the menu settings of the box and gone to audio? There is a setting to enable audio passthrough there and you can pick HDMI or SPDIF. I think I found KODI's audio passthrough still worked if you have this disabled though anyway.

We don't have the same problem exactly but similar in terms of it being to do with audio passthrough in kodi being a problem. I'm not getting noise with audio passthrough though. I'm getting the audio signal (DTS) but it is losing connection every few seconds. It won't stay stable.
Interestingly enough I DID get noise with the SPMC 14.2 build though. But not with VIDON build or the preinstalled KODI 14.2 or 15.1.

I'm not sure why you don't just connect the X2 box directly to the receiver's HDMI port? Then the sound will be encoded directly by the receiver instead of being carried to the TV via HDMI and then back out to the receiver via the TV's optical out (SPDIF)?

Well it's not exactly noise like white noise. I do't know the technical term for it I don't know how to explain it. It says something like 'I'm undecoded DD sound!!!

I have other devices that I want to connect to Home Theater system but it has only one optical port. So I connect these to TV via HDMI and TV to home theater via optical

Oh I see, you have no HDMI inputs on your receiver only optical.

Hi to all! I'm sorry if the question has already been. When I connect x2 to tv black screen appears
TV is LG with a resolution of 1366 X 768. What can I do?

You can flash 106 rom and than after reconnect to TV change resolution with 1/a button.

I have another question for everybody. Do you use some TV suitable launcher? If yes, which one? Thanks.

I'm not sure this has been answered, if it has. Sorry. I've bought 3 of the Beelink x2. I've got it working great on the 50 Dynex tv. My brothers, LG and Phillips keep giving Invalid Format when the unit powers on , I get nothing more. Can I connect it to the Dynex, Set the video to 720P 60htz. Will this allow the other TV's work oK? Or do I need to do some firmware work? Please let me know.

There is any workaround for wifi?
                            Mine didnt work right,
I get full signal on wifi, i connect, but transfer speed is really LOW

A +1 to this unit over the M805. It has played all the movies I have thrown at it, including the ones encoded in High Format Mkv, which the M805 stalls on, freezing the video while the audio plays on. (This is using Kodi only, never use anything else)
I was re-encoding stuff for the M805 unit, now I don't need to.
And a -1 on the lack of an Audio out though, I like to listen to the streaming radio, using an amp and speakers, for this to work I had to buy an SPDIF/Phono adapter, a headphone socket would have solved this lack.

I don't think so. The question comes up here and there, but never a solution. Wifi is ok for browsing and streaming 720p. My Wifi speed was worse with the Tronfy ROM. But as the bitrate gets higher you are out of luck anyways. Since no Wifi dongles are supported I had to actually move my NAS from another room so I could get a wired connection. With wired connection everything is super smooth and nice to use.
