Yes that is right. 16.1 from play store. It sometimes starts with a green screen. The Kofi start screen sometimes appears after a few seconds of green or appears if I fiddle with the TV aspect ratios. But sometimes not and I have to restart. Kodi 17 beta seems to start consistently without issues.

Thanks Xannytech - yes I just find that new Kodi interface a little difficult to get along with. To me everything seems to be a few more clicks away than it was in 16.x !

Hi all! Xannytech, thank you for your work !
I own a Docooler R39X (s905x 1g 8g ). It is just a Scishion V88 Pro .
Same box, same pcb and the model number is (was) V88 pro.
The original rom was very slow (in fact the box was not usable) with very high temperatures.
Then i read (4PDA) that the box is compatible with roms for NEXBOX A95X (S905X 1Gb/8Gb) and MINI M8S II (S905X 2Gb / 8Gb).
So i flashed the latest rom for A95X (cyx_NEXBOX-A95X_S905X_8189etv_8g1g_kodi_addons_161104_SD_USB ) . Very fast
but still hot and laggy connection with my airmouse-keyboards (MX3 and Measy GP811).
Then i used your roms, first the MINIM8SII_XTMOD_P then the XTMOD_EX_P.
With both the box is really fast , the recovery works just fine and the temperature is better.
Minor problems : needs the original remote.conf, reversed led colors (red=on , blue=standby) , cannot wake up with power button
(but wakes when i switch on the tv, so not really a problem)
BUT with both there is a serius problem. If i leave the box on, but without action, for some time (1-2 hours), it freezes
and the screen flashes in green-red-blue with grain, vertical lines and with a sound like a buzzer. This also happens some times
during boot (once i had to unplug-replug the power 5 times ) .Also happened 1 time during an Antutu 3D test.
But seems to be random and i cannot reproduce it, just wait to happen. I reflashed both roms 2-3 times (.img and .zip versions) nothing changed.
I thought it has the temperature, i changed the heatsink with a bigger one from an old vga had a temperature drop but nothing else changed.
Any ideas ?

Here are some relevant log entries. This is Kodi 17 beta 7 with Velocity. It will not launch, instead gives an error advising me to check the logs. this is posted just for curiosity and in-case anyone can spot the issue. I don't think this error is anything to do with the image.

you got an error in Velocity plugin, cause probably it's not been updated by the plugin mantainer for the new kodi 17. Just contact him or check if someone is working on it on kodi forum.

No app installed after flash and HDMI CEC is disabled. I hope its not a faulty RAM .
I know that your rom is for 2gb but it is so nice, clean and fast that is very difficult to go back to original or to the bloated of A95X .

If your device wakes when you switch on the tv HDMI CEC is enabled...

Well, i thought that HDMI CEC was enabled . But it wasn't !

I have a problem with the brightness fix (service.bootvideo=1). If this property is set to 1 Netflix crashes every time I want to play anything. It crashes with the error 00013. If I change the property to 0 it works fine.
Please help, once you are back from vacation.
