i have opened the box and will test now. there cant be any air circulation. the box is a big design fault.

from my point of view it is also possible to remove the whole board from the case. you just have to remove the glued wifi antenna film from the case. should not be a big deal.

has anyone tried to remove the cpu cooler?

can anyone confirm? whats the reason for this temperature difference between the roms? newer kernel?

I have not tried to remove the heatsink, I don't want to break my box.

You have a different WiFi chip in yours, however I can not tell which one of the 3 variants it is.

Maybe instead of placing your device on a solid surface, place it on top of something breathable that would allow for better ventilation. What about drilling 1/16" holes in the top housing away from that heat sink shield? Or wouldn't it really matter?

Yup you should definitely be able to update FTMC build. Definitely some improvements if you take a look at the change log in its thread. I've updated my T95Z and T95K with it.

I'm still new to all of this. Can I update to Build 24? If so, General/AML or Rockchip? Or should I stick with Build 20?

EDIT: I just realized that AML was AMLogic! Duh! So I can use the General/AML build 24. Thanks.
