the soft power button needs root, hold the power button on remote for power menu



the script flashes twrp then reboots to recovery to install the rom you must not have the Zip file on root of internal storage or something show me a picture of where you have the zip

If I hold the power button it just shut down or reset. I have to chose under the device settings. No menu pop up

Did you flash v8 over v7? coz thats not normal what you describe. Holding power button should show power menu

I have a question. The way this works we get every update a normal mibox3 would get for android tv? Because currently I have a bug where I can't use google assistant to play musics on spotify but I heard they are still fixing things with it.

Read the XDA thread it talks about enabling system less mode in settings for the latest root method that this uses

I tried the V8 version yesterday, all flashed OK. Youtube feels much faster, no audio sync issued that i had before, works perfect. Overall the box feels fast.

However, the problems with SW decoding during Live TV in Kodi persists. I cannot understand why with most firmware and latest Kodi with all clean install this problem still remain.
Please note that in Libreelec on same GT1 Kodi works fine with all HW decoding on same Live TV source. I've tried changing AML acceleration and other settings but nothing work.

I would appreciate if someone could test the Live TV stream from TVH and advise if you are getting HW acceleration. It must be some fault with the settings in firmware as Libreelec works fine on same box.
My stream is EU PAL HDTV and some channels are correctly decoded with HW codecs but most are not decoded correctly using SW codecs instead of HW acceleration resulting in choppy video.

Of course i can continue using Libreelec but it would be nice to have full functionality with all Android apps.

May I report an issue of v8? In earlier release Google Photos could synchronize, but with v8 my photos never appear. Any thoughts?
