Can you give me the entries you used to spoof Nexus? Found these on net but unsure if that's all that's needed to try.

I have a real nube question here, but where is the reset button on this box? I would like to use the amlogic usb burning tool, but am having a bear of a time getting it to connect to a windows 10 pc....

There is a tiny hole on the bottom at the front of the box.

Actually I found it by taking the cover off..I bet that's the huge issue here. The tiny hole goes nowhere its the reset for the M8s pro (912) not the + (905x)...look in the vents opposite corner from IR sensor..will try and post pics if I can...found it pressed it Viola...Image burned...

Guess I should have got up off my butt and looked, you are correct. I have both boxes.

Thanks Magendanz for the great ROM!

I to was having the 'about' crashing after I installed apps from the play store so I decided to clean install the ROM and try to determine which app cases 'settings about' to crash.

After trying about after each app install I think I found the culprit. After I installed Netflix from the play store about would stop. I uninstalled Netflix and about was working properly again.

Any ideas why Netflix from the play store causes settings about to crash?

Factory reset and I can now access settings/about. Will try installing everything else but as you say some of those crashes might be app specific, the problem being in their end.

Actually I spoke too soon, it's crashing again, the settings/about. All I did was access the play store and download Netflix.

I had come to that conclusion a while back. (page 11)

The only thing that crashes for me is when I go to settings/about. Minor issue, not relevant for me.

Same for me. Did not know about Netflix causing the crash, thanks for that info.

I admit to not originally try going to about, but I also confirm settings/about crashes with Netflix installed. Weird bug.

HDCP is only Level 1.x

I believe Level 2.2 is needed for Netflix 4K

The hdcp level is software based. Wetek play 2 had hdcp 1.x, then after an update to marshmallow it was 2.2

If someone were to look into the wetek firmware, that would probably tell us how to get 4k.

I am going try modding build.prop to see if I can get Amazon video app from Shield TV to function. Does the box need to be rooted and is there any downside to doing so that can't be corrected by relashing ROM with AML burning tool?

Hi! First I want to say thank you so much for your hard work!! Great ROM.

I have a small problem...just flashed my second box with this ROM. First box works fine. After flashing the second, it just feezes after some 5-10 seconds. Both when i boot to Android and Librelec on sd card. I wanted to try to reflash, but i can never make it to the menus before it freezes or restarts. Can anyone give me a hint what to do now? :/

Seems like the box is defective. I did not really try it before i flashed it with your ROM. I went back to stock, and it still freezes after a short time. I have sent a message to Geekbuy, hope they will send me a new one.

That is pretty much what happened with my second box - Froze between 30s and lots longer. Thought it might be a memory thing, hitting a bad section/chip ??
After a flash with the OEM ROM it wouldn't go more than about 30s, and after a few more attempts with various ROMs it is still crashing 20-30s after power applied !
More info backwards in the OEM M8S Pro+ Box thread.

Hope you get a good replacement, seems to be at least 3 or 4 of us here with badly freezing boxes.
