You can try, the worst is that you have to flash the stick again But I dont have this device and I cant test this rom.

Hi,

I flashed Finless 1.6b on my CX-919, everything seemed ok.

I then flashed the cwm recovery according to the instructions on this thread and when I boot to recovery - I just get a black, empty screen and the device is not recognized on the PC, so I have to unplug it and re-plug it to restart, and then the ROM loads normally, but no Recovery or CWM available - is there anything I can do to resolve this?

You are not the only one with this problem with this rom, and seems like if something is wrong in this rom wirh reboot to recovery. (misc.img??)
Can you test if you can boot to recovery with the stock recovery? Thanks.

With Stock ROM I had a recovery screen with some options, but when I tried to flash the recovery image offered here I got the same result (black screen and nothing more). I though maybe if I install Finless it would help, but seems it didn't.
I just hope I managed to backup stock well enough in case I'd need to return to it.

Ok, if I understand well, in stock rom stock recovery works but this cwm recovery not. With finless Rom 1.6b cwm recovery dont work, but does it the normal recovery?

Then I flashed Finless ROM - I didn't get a recovery screen. When I flashed CWM recovery - it still doesn't work - I just get a blank screen with no options.

E / cant mount / can't find errors for all kinds of things. I used the generic rk3188 cwm ram disk install

Any other way to install this?

Yes in first post of this thread there is 2 ways to install it. It is not a flashable zip from cwm so it cant be installed using the generic cwm
