I am thinking to buy the Minix X7 and to use the ROM from Wasser, can somebody say something to the Wifi speed?
Is it possible to stream 720p or 1080p movies over wifi?

Just for overview. whats the main differences and eventual (dis) advantages between this KitKat Rom from Wasser, and the Community Kitkat 2.3.x ?
I mean, i have with great satisfaction installed my X7 with Wasser 1.04 for a long time and recently shifted to Community edition Kitkat.
So in short, is there anything to gain from when using XBMC / Kodi or streaming or other stuff, compared ?

Hi, I have problem with flickering on Panasonic TV, i am going from Finless 1.9, there was screen without problem. Is there some kernel patch for HDMI mode?

Brilliant ROM Wasser!!, so glad you came back. Was just about ready to dump my x7 on **** as just couldnt find a 4.4.2 rom that would work properly with HULU, VEVO & Xfinity TV Go. I bought a $25 mk808b plus just to get hulu to work as noboby could get it working on 4.4.2 for the x7 now that you've cracked it, brilliant!
I used HG's 4.4.2 CE roms for ages up to v2.30 but gave up as still no working solution / support for HULU and other HLS streaming issues I've found.

Your rom however, brilliant. Extremely clean and fast with OC options too. Every single streaming app I've thrown at it works perfectly now, netflix, hulu, vevo, Xfinity, vimeo, vidzone, showbox, Kodi, Amazon Instant video, and many other UK streaming apps.

Two minor issue/requests if possible, sound output options dont save on reboot and also if its possible to remove the VPN PIN request as I use VPN for USA based streaming apps which forces you to set a pin. Official minix 4.4.2 roms have removed the pin request to configure a VPN account.

Hi Midelpo,

You may have heard this many times before about changing HDMI cable to help with flickering issues. I had constant Flickering issues on my sony and panasonic TV's using certain ROMS, it seems many custom roms have different effects on certain TV's due to Kernel configs. All I can say is I tried many HDMI cables and started to think it was BS until I tried this cable and havent had an issue since. I've tried almost every available rom using this HDMI cable and my flickering and black outs have disappeared.

I obviously cannot confirm or guarantee this will resolve your issue exactly but it may be something to look at. Good luck.

I can't get get the RK remote app to work with this rom. I through out my original Minix remote, because it never worked from day 1. Can anyone help with this? I need a remote to access the menus in certain add ons, so I can configure them.

After using Wasser 1.0.4 for a long time, I've updated to 2.0.2.
Everything works fine, except for one thing. I'm using the Minix Neo X7 in combination with an A2 Airmouse.
After rebooting the X7 the audio output is set back to de A2 Airmouse and I've have to change it back to default.
Is this a bug, feature or as designed?

With the 1.0.4 software I've never had this symptom.

Thank you for this ROM.
With 1.0.4 I had the audio output a2 air mouse problem. Also have it with 2.0.2. Skype works well. It was a problem with the official minix230 rom therefore a deal breaker. With 230rom i had problems installing kodi + xbmchub.

So far this rom is fast, smooth and non of these problems except the a2 audio output annoyance. Very grateful. Nice one.

I get an error message when I want to record video with the camera app or the Google camera app.

I can take photos with no trouble and Skype seems to work so far.
