    Hi Wasser,

Can you please confirm what is the "SD Cache size" set by default into the firmware?.
Unfortunately applications like "SD Booster" and "3C CPU Manager" do not find or do not detect any SD (internal) card installed so the "SD cache size" can not be tweaked this way; is this a side effect of the "single nand partition" (/storage/emulated/0/)?; can you do something else on this size but keeping the single nand partition of 16 Gb on our devices?. Thanks?.

2048KB is default for SD Cache size in my rom and it's good default settings. You don't need to change it

Unfortunately did not work, also tried flicker img. Keep loosing sound too. Mainly for standard kodi.

I don't think it will help with HLS. This patch just aligns the clock speed parameters for the mali.ko module against the values which are available in the RK3188 kernel sources. The default values in the stock boot image are probably meant for some obsolete version of Mali GPU and are very much outdated.

            The default values are:
            Code:
            insmod /system/lib/modules/mali.ko mali_dvfs=50,100,133,160,200,266,400 mali_init_clock=50
My patch changes this line to:
            Code:
            insmod /system/lib/modules/mali.ko mali_dvfs=133,200,266,300,400,600,798 mali_init_clock=133
This patch may (or may not) result in smoother video playback. YMMV.

I have never seen or heard about any negative effects caused by this patch.

i installed this yesterday, coming from from finless 1.9. seems to work really well, thanks a lot. i am using standard kodi 14.2.only issues i have seen so far are play store has a flicker through the screen, and you tube i think the sound drops for a second every few minutes. only other change i did was install nova launcher. i use ethernet not wifi and we have slow internet speed but i can still watch hd movie ok

Thanks Molle for the explanation about your mali patch; It sounds worth to be used.

You need to use 'RKBatchTool' for flashing the ROM. There are links to it in the first post under some of the older fw versions. The fw is pre-rooted with 'superuser' but if you prefer SuperSU, you can install it through recovery and replace 'superuser'.

Can this be combined with wassers OC'ed kernel? I am also trying to load TWRP, how would i do all these steps in one from the Box?

It really annoys me how much stuff i've forgotten.

I'm currently running 2.0.3 with the oc'd kernel, patched boot and TWRP-2.8.5.0. Each of the three can be installed with 'flash_image' in the terminal emulator.

what goes first? i know the kernel is on the boot.img, hence why i ask? just trying to avoid any overwriting of each other

so it goes like this right, order wise:

                              flash_image recovery /path/to/twrp.img
                              flash_image boot /path/to/boot.img
                              flash_image kernel /path/to/oc_kernel.img

Thanks, Wasser for the 2.0.3 Update! I've installed and tested. Works all as in 1.0.4 and something more, like the sync between contacts & mail.
