I've looked at it... it has given me some ideas...

I think Nextbook wrote one of their scripts incorrectly...

One of them doesn't look anything like the scripts from OMAs ROM... it looks like a line from a standard update.zip style script.

Stock recovery can only install it from external SD Card.

You might be able to install it from a PC using one of the RockChip flash tools, but you'll have to research the different versions and instructions.

just a heads up only stock recovery can install any update.img. if you have oma cwm recovery you are out of luck. i tried and it didnt go through. had to reinstall stock. but all in all we will have to create a new package in case twrp is made.

                  update?

i installed your update... quite smoothly i might add and gained some space when i complete the factory reset. i do believe that was because all my wifes games have been deleted. still trying to explaining that. i was wondering if you were still looking into the sd card partition and the boosting the data storage through minimizing the nand storage?

Yeah, the update required erasing /data, /cache and /sdcard.

I'm still working on changing the partition sizes. I've managed to change mine, but the install process is currently a pain. It requires either flashing each partition separately via one of the PC rockchip flashing tools or using stock recovery, first boot fails, reboot to recovery, wipe /data and /cache, reboot, then do factory reset with erase /sdcard and reboot again, all because the stock recovery won't properly wipe /data, /cache and /sdcard during install, which is necessary.

Follow the support thread for my ROM for updates. I'm currently working on a modified version of TWRP recovery to fix the install issues for the next ROM versions.

rom works great except or battery consumption. did a battery calibration test and waiting for the results now. if all works like i think it will then i may have found a way to get better battery. now a little peeved of that there is no bluetooth support for this device. hopefully cm11 or a similar rom can give us that bluetooth setting.

Battery calibration was only temporary fix for me. (Very temporary.) This device seems to have the exact same battery level reporting problem as the Nexus 7. Perhaps you'll have better results, but I'm currently convinced that it needs to be fixed in Google's Android source code.

There is no internal bluetooth on these, but at some point we might be able to get support for external bluetooth dongles.

i hope so. i want a bluetooth keyboard for my nextbook. also ill keep up on the calibration on the battery. seems to work for me. but i did it at a low battery level. so when i charge this overnight, ill calibrate it at 100% and see what that does
