Magendanz, can I use this rom on my M8S PRO 3/16 DDR4 or it will brick it?

P.S can I use the OEM rom from PRO L with voice remote on my pure PRO or this also is going to brick it?

It will soft brick the box if you use the M8S PRO L bootloader. However, you can bring the M8S PRO L system and boot images over.

This rom is rooted, that's why its not showing on your google play store. You have to install magisk manager and then go to the setting and use hide magisk manager to hide DSTV Now app from seeing the root, then it will show. That's what i did.

The app can be sideloaded and it works in that way where as when other boxes are rooted it does not even play but with mecool and this rom it does so i dont think its a rooted problem i think its maybe a certificate the rom dev must get certificate or so the same with netflix that has to aprove the devise

Hi I have a m8s pro Octo core android box arriving tomorrow I'm going to root it and change firmware via USB thumb drive if this is possible ? Also the ROM I'd like to use is (20171116)update is this pre rooted ? I've changed Samsung phone ROMs and rooted before ,is this same kind of procedure? Is it just the .imagefile I need? Thanks

Anyone with problems pairing this box (V0928_TVStock-20180109) with the Harmony Elite via bluetooth?
For some reason, the box doesn't discover the Harmony with any of the bluetooth menus available - Add accessories & "normal" bluetooth menu.
I tried the same method described for other boxes - Add Asus Nexus Player - Add Activity - Try to pair - FAIL (Box can't find Harmony Hub).
The box can find other devices (p.e. Logitech MX Master is almost instantaneous) and other devices can find the Harmony Hub (as "Harmony Nexus Player Controller").

I read that Magendanz has been using it without problems.

EDIT: SOLVED - For some reason, you need a Wifi connection to connect bluetooth devices. With ethernet can find some bluetooth devices, pairing always falis.
With Wifi connection, finds everything and connects without problems.
I have no problem using Wifi instead of ethernet but it-s kind of weird.

Yeah, I noticed that too on the QCA9377 drivers. Strange, really, but relatively simple workaround, and you can reconnect Ethernet when done and keep using the paired Bluetooth devices.

Hello. I have a TB BOX M8S Pro L 3gb ram 32GB rom. I installed the OTA stock rom and everithing works fine for 2 days. Now, the TV BOX is with the blue led always on and it hasnt got image. I readed the post and I saw that it was briked. I try all the solutions posted and dont works! There are a new solution or it will be a new solution in the future or is totally useless vor ever? Thank you!!
