Perhaps a clue, I think that perhaps it is something related to ogg vobis codec. Just guessing.
      Hi,

Forge OGG idea, I check for real racing and all souind files are MP3...

Besides that, I look at cpu frequency and see that frequency not goi to 1.6 but seems blocked to 1.42, strange no?

ANd it could explain why sound is so bad, because if frequency did not go up, graphioc is treated first and sound after when the soft have time to treat it.

Is there a soft somewher that can test cpu speed?

I try Antutu and get something around 18750 I think.

      EDIT:
It is confirmed, the CPU did not go above 1416 Mhz whatever I do, running game or benchmark.

Is someone have any idea to tune that?

      EDIT 2:

I try SetCPU, but even pushing MIN and MAX Frequency to 1600, the cpu is set to 1416 max.

How old is your M9 Pro?

Rockchip has put out some 3188's that are locked at 1.42.

I bought it 2 weeks ago. Did something in tablet can give you more information? Setcpu say max frequency is 1600mhz.

Read the thread called "Blacklist of locked Down Versions of RK3188 CPU"

See if it matches your symptoms. I don't know for sure, but it sounds like it to me.

I already did, but I will flash Riley or Finless last 4.2.2 before trying this one.

                  EDIT:

I have just flash Finless ROM 1.5 in Android 4.2 and made a quick test with SetCPU by fixing min frequency and max frequency to 1600 and the good new is that my processor goes well up to 1600 MHz, so, for my part, the problem was definitively kitkat rom.

I have to try all the rest now. And in particular AD2P that was my main reason to go on KitKat.

Hi Randy, great work you're doing on this ROM :-) Any love for the Pipo Max M9? Could you port this ROM across for us please? Although I've been happy with your last release, reading this thread I'm feeling left out and I'd really like to be able to try out some of these OC/UC options!

I have had zero luck porting KitKat from one tablet to another.

I do know that our kernel developer Dnkn is working on a KitKat ROM from scratch for the M9.

                          Hi guys, hi Riley,

It's the first time I'm flashing a rom into my tablet (never did it either for my cellphone), and I want to do so in my Pipo M9PRO, so I'm looking forward to have some advice from experts like you.

I was reading the instructions PDF, and then there's a part on the 6th page in which you mention "Launch Device Manager (in Control Panel) on your PC. Next, launch the RKAndroidTool.exe from the RileyROM folder (Run as Administrator, if your Windows user account does not have administrator privileges)."
Thing is, my RileyROM folder doesn't have any RKAndroidTool.exe, nor it is on any other folder, so I'm kinda clueless on what to do now.

Can someone clarify this for me? What should I do now? Is this related to a difference flashing tool/process since we're dealing with KitKat here?
                          Thank you!

The tool is included in every Riley rom,if not google it.

I'm not doubting that it usually does, but it is not present on this one.
And as a newbie when it comes to this, I thought it'd be better to ask (either to know if it was a mistake for not including the file, if the instructions needed update or if it was done on purpose).

But thanks for the google advice.

You are realising this is a KitKat rom,if yes, read true the whole thread.
This rom flashes a new bootloader and when you want to downgrade after this gives issues.
So,know what you are doing especialy when your are a newbie,be WARNED !!!!
